do you guys have any idea of what or which wire I can tap to have a LED to blink as I turn off the ignition. I saw a setup on an accord and it's so cool. I took my dash off in hope to find some kind of wire but still no luck. I need my led to be blinking as I turn off the ignition so it's like another alarm indicator. Thanks in advance.

just buy a blinking led and have a separate switch to turn it on and off when you leave the car. make sure the switch is hidden or else it defeats the purpose.

I was going to but it's not cool enough. Will do it as a last resort.

I would not recommend tappin' into anything... you might get an error message.

Heres one way to do it. Buy one of those ready blinking-LED things. Connect the + wire to a constant +12V source. Connect the - wire to the + side of for example a headlight. Now when the headlight is on you have +12V on both ends of the LED and nothing happens. But when you turn off the headlight you dont have +12V on the - side of the LED anymore. Instead the LED will ground through the headlight itself. The voltage over the blinking LED will not be full 12V but it works with most LEDs.

I have had this setup on several cars. I dont have it on my MB and I would not recommend that you mess around with the electrics on your MB if you dont know what you are doing. Be careful.

Another way to do it would be to use a relay. This would maybe be a "safer" solution

relay
I think I'm going with the relay. A fellow has thought me how and will practice it soon. Even our own stock HU has a blinking LED. I'm thinking about a strobe light inside the driver and passanger AC blowers or maybe a very bright LED inside it too. Will post pictures once it's done. Anyway, anybody has a picture of how the connector that connects wires to fuse boxes look like? Thanks.
