Smog Failed Ftl!!
failed my first ever smog test thanks to a leaky gas cap and dying battery. 
guess you learn something you don't know every day. check your gas cap to be sure they have proper seal and make sure your battery didn't die on you the day earlier before you do the smog test. If the battery faults and throws any sort of error it keeps that error code for a few days before it'll reset itself.

When I had mine done the guy skipped the gas cap test on the pre-test, then was trying frantically to find the right piece to test the cap on the real test.
I told him, huh? You already passed it for that! Promised I'd get a new one soon....to me soon is 2 years from now, next test.
So yeh, advise to anyone with smog coming up, order a gas cap in advance.
It's the last f'ing thing they test, and then fail you, as it's unlikely you'll be able to buy one closeby.

Ha, nice tip. I bought some recently to put on my battery terminals...
gotta keep those terminals clean, 'cause guess what?
The dealer don't touch them, or top up the battery ever!
Dirty terminals turns your wires into resistors, and can cause the battery
and alternator to get messed, or at the very least one day, the car won't start. Clean them, bolt back on, then slather over with vaseline.
Keep the cystally stuff from growing on them
What is that stuff anyway, and where does it come from?
The container was floating around in the car interior for a while.
Got some odd looks and comments from friends.
"It's for my car!" They're like, yeh right!
