Doesn't seem like this is much weight. Seems like it would be better to lose unsprung and rotational weight and then keep 1/8th - 1/4th tank of fuel in the vehicle.

a quarter mile at a time
you could also change your front rotors to 2-piece floating rotos. Saves a ton of unsprun rotational mass.

Toss the passenger out while moving...see if their's a performance improvement.
Maybe not eat for a few days? That'd shave 10-20lb off.

Or unbolt the plastic jack points. Thats a few ounces.
Remove all the seats and interior!
And put an aluminum lawn chair in for the drivers seat!
Toss the owners manual, thats a couple pounds, it's never been
looked at anyway!

Don't let the dawg ride in the car, thats extra weight.
Tie him to the bumper and make him run!
Or better yet PULL, to add some HP!
