MAGNAFLOw muffler??
dont be turned off by the fact "flowmaster" is kinda synonomous with "american". the techology and engineering that goes into designing the baffles are second to none for a universal application.
Edit: Forgot to mention, how would I go about getting tips to fit that that look like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AMG-M...#ht_3054wt_939
Since it'll replace the turn-down pipes, how would I deal with that?

The way the baffles are designed, it dos a nice job eliminating interior resonance, rasp, and high-pitch 'rice' revs. Obviously it wont be as low of a tone as the 3.5 or even the 2.5, but I do believe you'll be much happier with it over a straight through design like magnaflow, which doesnt descriminate against any sound waves, good or bad.
as far the tip, your exhaust shop will have a nice selection to choose from. even one that splits in two if you so desire. otherwise, be sure to find a tip that can fit the exit diameter of the muffler, which is a single 2.5" pipe
My main concern is making the new muffler fit in place of the stock one, and still being able to have a tip showing like the one in the link I posted without having to do any modifications to the bumper.
Has anyone put that muffler in the non-sport trim w203? I'd rather not get stuck in a situation where one or the other won't fit.

not so much the smaller engines but that's just me. kept my resonator in and it has a nice growl at start up and low rpms and then opens up real nice as i hit it.
As I replied to SS above, any exhaust shop can fab up a solution. I realise some of you have little to no experience with exhaust work, but just let them take care of it. They can weld additional piece of piping, change up the mounting a little... compensating for the muffler sitting a little higher than the bumper cover is absoloutely not a hang up.

And my dearest dingleberry Karo, I removed main res at same time as flowmaster and noticed no SOTP loss of low end. As we discussed, our low end is a little lackluster (im still blaming the gearing for not helping that fact at all), but it by no means got worse. +1 to the baffle design
shot with little samsung click and shoot, poor sound quality but regardless it is by no means loud/obnoxious, just a well mannered and reserved throaty sound. I expect it to go quite nicely with headers & cat delete.
finally here you guys go

p.s. yes it was an iced road: que the fishtail, ESP and subsequent lapse in throttle

good job
Ya Phister convinced me to keep it and I might as well. For some reason my problem is on cold start I cant hear crap but when it warms up it roars like a ****.
This same setup was OBNOXIOUS on my 230 w/ the 2 primary res delete, so considering I have headers and cats delete to go, im happy with its subtle tone for now

and yes you flying *** chap wearing monkey phucker, i know youre kiddin
