The sound for you if you're looking for a nice growl without being obnoxious. Deletion of the primary resonators is a good way to open it up even more if you wanted. My favorite part is that there is zero bumble bee resonance that you usually get with a smaller motor, 275+ hp or not. This is why I would personally never go with Magnaflow, allows too much "farting".

cpbeasley, you say the same set-up was obnoxious on a 230 with the res delete? Did you listen to it without the resonators being gone with just the 50 series on?

Being as unbias as possible, I would recommend the flow 50 + one res delete over magnaflow any day of the week. No hate towards the MF crowd, but it just allows way too much, again, "farting".

Yeah I agree entirely with the farting, although I've seen a 4-cylinder Tiburon (the last facelifted one) with a dual Magnaflow exhaust set-up and it sounds deep and throaty with no farting... I just rule that out as an exception.
I want that low rumble sound, but I'm afraid of getting the 50 Delta since I don't know if the 1.8L displacement will be enough to produce the sound I want. How would it sound with no resonator deleted?

If you wanted the SAFEST option, If I were you, I'd actually consider the 60 series delta, meant for small 4 and 6 cyl. Its a smidge quieter than the 50, and would allow freedom from the stock muffler without immediate concern of any farts or burps. Again you could then "tune" the sound as you see fit, removing the primary or even second resonators to allow more flow.
Good luck.

Good for you. Be a pioneer!
Read up on flowmaster's site - they designed the 60 for small 4 and 6s. It'll be nice to see someone actually take advantage of technology that was designed for their application instead of following the path traveled by the masses.

Haha I have to buy my wheels first... most important mod out of the way before summer. After that I'd say it'll be the muffler. I feel good about it ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Speaking of buying wheels... do you (or anyone else) know a good (preferably Canadian) site to get wheels off of? I have a set lined up which will total me $1,700 totaled.. with shipping, tires, mounting, balancing, etc. (No brokerage/duty/custom fees due to it being a Canadian dealer).
Ignore that 2nd part of my post if it derails this thread, and PM me with info if you feel so inclined.
