02 c230 mit kompressor
mysterious glitch
i love my c230 coupe and have had 0 problems. today i was blasting thru mount eagle on my way from nashville to rome georgia when all of a sudden evey dash light in the world lit up and all power wa gone. then just as quickly and mysteriously all was well again. made me think id been zapped by some strang laser device or something. wellllllllll and hmmmmm. .... i wonder....

How many keys on your ring? You may have momentarily dislodged the electronic key due to a lot of wieght pulling on the key.

Yup, i had that problem too while running on freeway, twice!!!!. Very very strange, the engine died and all those lights flashed and sudenddly the engine start again, this happens on the early life of my car. Couldn't really heard the engine start, maybe eliminate by the road noise

2002 c230 sport coupe six spd. C7
My 2002 C230 did this once while on the freeway. Engine died going 62 mph for no reason while on cruise control. Dealer checked, no codes. Replaced fuel pump and I've not had the problem since. The vehicle failed with about 15K miles on it and its got over 16K miles now. Other than that, no serious problems that have not been resolved by the dealer.
Bring it in to dealer and let them check it out IMO.

Wow - this happened to me yesterday. I'm glad I'd read this thread or I'd have been freaking out. The engine did seem to cut out but then jump back in again right after that. Of course, the ignition was still on, and the car was still in motion, so even if the engine had died, it would have been jump started immediately. It is perhaps the most bizarre thing that I've ever seen - something like a computer "hiccup."
