Should I sell my 03 C230?
So i purchased my C230 in November 2007. I have loved it! However the only major problem I have had is this $12 hose issue.(Driver seat module also went bad, and so did the driver's side door lock actuator.)
The dealer fixed the hose for free (recall) on March 12, 2008. Car ran fine. But just yesterday (3/29/08) it started having the same exact symptoms it had when the hose went bad the first time...
I hope they will fix it again, free of charge. But if they do, and it fails again, what am I to do? I love the car, but hate that problem. I can't rely on it if it's going to continue to occur.
What do you suggest?

If a minor issue like this hose problem will really worry you that much you may want to get rid of the car right away. This may just be the start of several to come. I generallly go four months in between problems. I have had a recuring alarm problem that has shown up now for the fourth time. This has been the most unreliable car I have owned. I have had it into the dealer about 7 times in 2 1/2 years. I have had more problems with this car than all my others cars combined. I hope you do not have as many as me. Good luck with what ever choice you make.

^^ Thanks for your input dnlow. It should not have broken this soon. So, it may be that they didn't use the right hose, clamp, or fasten it correctly.
When the hose failed the first time, it wasn't a recall. My father and I replaced the hose with a similar sized hose he bought from a store, and we fastened it, and it drove fine. I do think we still had a small leak, but the rough idle was gone.
I'm just worried that even if MB fixes it again, that the hose will fail again...
I love the c230, and the 6 spd manual, but I'm not sure what to do now...If I do get another car I would want it a manual transmission and to at least get similar mpg as the C230 but I'm not sure about that lol.
I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow.

Funny, I open the hood, inspect the hose, it seems fine.
I look to the right, next to the ESP, and there's a set of hoses...I notice that one of them is not inside where it's supposed to be...So I put it in, start the engine, and the car idles perfect...
So, while the car is on, I take that hose out to see what will happen, and the car started with the rough idle again.
So simple! It had no clamp on it, so I figured that every time air passed through it, the pressure probably kept pushing it up, and finally it came out completely. So we secured it, and it's fine now...
Ok so now I'm happy...
