Iphone installation... and wire questions, help
Good news first, I had a chance to install the Iphone over the weeknd, I read the DIY for the ipod, got the cable harnes and a couple other adapters and cables that the iphone requires, i was runing the cable from the door pillar to the bottom of the center arm rest i came accross these cables, i dont know have they do. does any one know what they are for? maybe they are for audio.
as for as the iphone it looks like it works pettry good, i use it as an ipod to listen to music, and when a call comes in the kewl thing is that the volume gets lowered and if i chose to get the call i do so by touching answer on the phone, and the voice comes in from the speakers of the car, so i dont have to pick up the phone and bring it over to my ear, it works with the car and when i talk i guess its using the mic on the phone. not a bad setup for less than $60, here are some pics of the cables that im not sure about.

#1 shows all cables, the ones im not sure about the the cable i ran from the door pillar to come out from the arm rest, the cable with the shiny end goes on my iphone.

(oh BTW after the call ends, the music continues to play.. again without me doing anything... it resumes. Its pretty hands free, almost like a bluethoot device)

where did i get what from? to setup the iphone i got one cable from the dealer and 2 from best buy.
and the other cables where under the arm rest. i pulled them out after i took the arm rest apart to take run out the iphone cable, its a clean setup, no cables runing in my center consel or off my ciggaret light. just the iphone sitting inside the arm rest or on my cup holder.

wait, is this all for the aux cable? i thought you had the mic in the car working. Got me excited for a second there.

Yeah that's my same exact concern. I have an iPhone as well and I always thought about doing this myself, but I knee that the echoing would be a problem. I just use Bluetooth haha
