Smile New Here (2006 C230 Questions)

Hi guys i'm a n00b here so sorry if there is already a topic on this.
I am currently looking at an '06 C230 and am wondering if the v6 engine has any problems that I should be aware of? We currently own an '05 C230K and love it. Never had any problems with it at all. I am curious to know, Is the 1.8L better than the 2.5L? Are they both similar in gas mileage? Both similar in power? Any help would be great! Thanks in adavance.

a quarter mile at a time
1.8L Kompressor (Supercharged) is a bit better on gas mileage and is also a bit quicker than the 2.5L V6.

By a bit better, you would say about how much more MPG? Is the decrease in quickness very noticeable compared to the 05? Thanks

I will, but I am just wondering for right now. Any known problems with the V6's?

i had an 05 for a week before i noticed that i needed massive work done cause of the cam sensors... the gas mileage was great on it.. i was getting 30+ on my way to work on the highway..

i took it back and picked up an 06 and the gas mileage is no where near as good.. maybe 25ish on my same trip to work.. which is disappointing, but then again, its better than my 10mpg i was getting in my truck

as for reliability issues, i havent noticed anything yet. the only thing ive heard of is the pulley going out, which happend to mine, but the warranty covered it

personally i love white on a benz cause all you need is tint and youre straight.. its so classy

black looks incredible, but its SOOOOOOOOOOOO hard to keep clean.... but those are the two best color choices IMO for mercedes..

thanks!

if i had a choice, i woulda taken white in a heartbeat.. ive never really liked white in cars other than benz's and bimmers, but its all in what you want and more importantly, where you keep it. if its garaged all the time, its not going to be a problem with the black
