What does 131,000 miles on an 05 C230 look like?
I dropped my car off at the dealership yesterday to take care of 2 recalls.
1. Driver's side airbag
2. Vent hoses
One of the guys I know in parts told me that the tech couldn't believe how many miles I had on my car. He thought something was wrong with the odometer..LOL.
I thought I would take a couple of pictures today:

It got a clean bill of health from the dealer too. They went over the whole car.....Probably hoping to find something they could charge me for...Everything was great. No leaks, no abnormal wear, etc.. Even the coolant checked out fine and it's never been changed.
I also replaced my cam sensors, as suggested in this forum. No oil in the old ones, so I'll keep those as spares.
I am due for rear pads and rotors though, so I'll get them done at my next service interval.
Still cruising around on my stock clutch as well.

Very clean!
There’re some in my neighborhood with 100,000 less than yours that don’t look nearly as nice.
You are representing the marque as intended. Well done.
Is there a story behind that “AWOL” plate?

Thanks...Up close there are some flaws, but just the typical rock chips and bug damage in the front. The lenses on my fogs feel sandblasted and are blurred....
The tag is just me being a smart ***. I was infantry for four years and honorably discharged years ago. I had "GON AWOL" on my car while I was in and everyone got a kick out of it.

Mother of God, that is A LOT of driving in less than 3 years. Did you get it, in say late 04?!
Car does look great. Take care of that girl. When you get over 150k, please do register on the 150k club thread for the W203.

You asked what it looks like? Looks like you could not find a parking space, so you kept driving.
Car looks very nice. You have done it quite nicely.

It was 99% stock, up until last week, when I had the springs put on.
The only other mod was the drop in K&N filter I put in around the 20k mile mark.
Well, and the xenons in the high beams too.
Car runs and drives great. I do have an occasional rattle from my sunroof shade, but that goes away if I move it back a hair.
Thanks for all the compliments.

CONGRATS. Although i'm almost there myself. I have 05 C230 as well and just clocked over 100,100 miles this week. haven't had any major issues with the car. just got the tranny flushed for good measure. I'll be at the 130K mark pretty soon too! good to know others out there over 100K still lasting.

I have a 2003 C230 with almost 54,000 miles lol.
90 mph, what are your rpms at that speed? Is it a flat drive? any Hills, much traffic?
your commute is very early in the morning right?

I think they are around 4k rpms....I'll check tomorrow on my way in.
The drive into work is early. I leave at 5:20 each day. I don't ususally see any traffic until I hit I-95 at around 6am.
All flat driving. 6 stop lights from my driveway to my store.
I have a few miles of backroads from my house to the highway and then a couple more to the next stretch of highway that I set the cuise at 90. I slow down to 75 in an area the cops like to hang out at and will only drive that fast if there is at least one car up ahead of me (so I don't get busted with radar)
it's 57 miles to work and my best time was 41 minutes. I have not tried to beat that in a long time though as I was having to keep it over 100 for a good portion of the trip.
if I drive pretty quick I get there in 45 minutes and make it home in 50 minutes. The trip home takes longer as I go 80 and there's typically more traffic.
Just so none of you guys get your panties in a bunch, here's a video of me racing at Daytona a while ago. I do have a little training and experience at driving fast and I do not drive like a moron when I do drive fast.

Yes, I did bump him....That was my buddy Scott driving another friend's car and since he was ***** footing it through that corner, I reminded him to pick it up a little bit....If I would have lifted, even for a second, I would have lost more momentum than you can imagine.
You'll notice he carried more speed through that corner on the next lap.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Sebring is also a blast. Between instructing and racing there, I could probably run that course blindfolded. The short course races at Sebring were very competitive and action packed, while I would often find myself all alone at Daytona. (even in a 96 car field, you would eventually find yourself all alone through a few laps....gets lonely
