C-class Purchase

I am going to purchase a newer C-class within 4-5 months but I have no idea which cars are faster/ slower or anything. I am thinking I want a C320 but I am also looking at the C230Kompressor sedan, which is faster? Any input would be greatly appreciated and maybe telling about your vehicle / vehicle experience. Thanks. Fun cars.

C320's are faster than C230's. Not a terrible HP difference though, I would drive both if I were you. What year are you looking at? Keep in mind that there have been 3 different types of engines for the C230.

Define "slightly modded"

Stock for stock, the C320 is without question faster than a C230.

Well right now I have the E320 and i enjoy the engine, runs great with a little kick, but I am leaning towards the C320 b/c of the 6 cyl. im not sure i want to drop to 4 cyl. I would definitely mod the C320 but I am really just comparing it to the C230 Kompress. sedan and I wonder why they make the rims wider and cooler than the C320, if the 320 gives out more hp. So basically, its either between a 2001 + C230 K or C320, what do you guys think? C class are good modding cars, not too expensive but they can be made to look very sleek and aggressive.

You can get a 2005 C320 Sport that has the same staggered wheels that the C230 has.

Quicker or faster? Or both?

i have an 01' c320; it's an absolute blast! the torque is great for everyday driving, and when you feel the need to smash. on the freeway i was able to chase an M3 no problem! go for it dude!

yeeeeeeeeah. if I stayed in 6th gear and at 3000 rpm, I'd still dust you. no dice.

maybe it's those heavy replica rims that give you the powa!

Of all the engines in the w203 (aside from the 32 / 55), the 350 is your best bet. That is one of the most underated engines and a step up from the 320 you have in your E class.

You just noticed that? Yeah, I got a ton of pm's from noobs this year. Anything from inquiries about it being Brabus to Remus to "is that custom?"

Word of caution....'01, '02 C's were very buggy and had many TSBs. If the TSBs were done then the car will be solid...and I speak from experience. My car has 135K miles but still runs, sounds, handles, feels almost like new. Getting ready for another car and have decided to keep it as the second car.
