and if anyone has done this with MB, please chime in! thanks.
We owned an 01 ML320 until we got our 04 C320 4Matic in March. Some snow/ice persisted (here in Alaska) and our preliminary C-Class winter traction report is favorable. We'll have more data soon. Our home is a couple of miles off the paved road and have a mountain "pass" which is a good traction test. We do notice the reduced ground clearance. We're shopping for snow tires and will likely change from the all season Michelin Energy's.
The C is very quick.... and smooth. The acceleration does not feel or sound as strong as it is. This is the best handling automobile I've owned.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I live in Chicago and we occasionally get some snow here. During the winter I put on snow tires (Blizzak LM-22's) and the car is remarkably good in snow!
Do check out the 2005's though, great interior and exterior changes (IMHO).
If your car does not have the autodimming feature, then mirror retrofitting seems doable.
All of you who own a 2005 C240 4Matic (or earlier models if they have same power) and others who have experienced it, do you think it has enough power. It only has 168hp. I live in Canada and it being a cold country, I am interested in a 4Matic so C230K is not an option but it has a more powerful engine. C320 4Matic is more expensive.
Any other comments on C240 vs C320 are welcome.
Thanks
Vivek
