Want to bye Mercedes in USA. Have some questions.
In Ukraine cars very expensive and as usual, used cars in bad condition. So, I want to bye Mercedes C230Kompressor 2004-2006 in USA and when deliver to Ukraine.
So, I have some questions:
1 - What engine established in 230K in USA?
2 - What charge of fuel in 230K?
3 - The indicator of temperature behind a board is F* only? Or C* too?
4 - Scale of speedmeter in "Miles" only?
5 - What need to repear in car at 60 000 miles?
Thank you all for your answers!
2004-2005 = 1.8L Kompressor, 2006 = 2.5L V6
2 - What charge of fuel in 230K?
Fuel in U.S. costs about $4.00 to $4.50 depending on area. Premium fuel, or 91 Octane is required in the U.S. but the dealer can change this to use lesser quality fuel but you will lose some performance.
3 - The indicator of temperature behind a board is F* only? Or C* too?
Yes, you select language and english or metric from dash display
4 - Scale of speedmeter in "Miles" only?
U.S. speedometers are in both miles and kilometers
5 - What need to repear in car at 60 000 miles?
There is no specific maintenance at 60K miles, it's based on display that tells you when you need to do it. It's estimated that every 10-13K miles or once a year you need to do a service, either A or B.
That applies to digital only. The actual "needle display" will be in mph.
Probably, I shall buy 1.8 compressor.
And, about fuel, I have in view of, how many uses 1.8 compressor on 60 miles.
And what type of engine oil needs to be used? 5W30 or 0W40? Or another?
PS. In Ukraine fuel coast 1.30$ as litre (near 4$/Hallon)

PPS. You could not advise any web-site on sale of cars on export? Thank you!

In western Europe, other oils are available. Elf and Total both make oils that meet the Mercedes specifications. I am not sure what is available in your country.
The Mercedes C230K has been a good car for me. It has a blend of good performance and good fuel economy. I prefer the 6-speed manual transmission.
In terms of cars for sale, I often look at www.autotrader.com
Look carefully before you buy. Good Luck!
...so it's not problem
. and last question still without answer...how much fuel used Mercedes C230K (1.8 L) on 60 miles (100 kilometers)?...

City driving is roughly 11L/100KM
My car is a 6 speed manual 2003 Kompressor, and I do not shift it at the redline. I shift at 3000/3500 rpm. But that's just me, again it depends on your driving style.

I'm already hearing some creaking around bumps. It's def. suspension related. Maybe it's swaybar links or something.
The C230 REQUIRES high octane fuel. You need to fill it with the 95 ron.
You COULD try to find a dealer to change the fuel setting in your ECU but otherwise you need 95!
The brain dead idiot (Can you tell I'm slightly angry?) at my local gas station filled my car with regular by mistake and it's been running pretty badly on it.

Although I am familiar with the liters per 100km measurement used in Europe, I have never actually calculated it for my car. US speedometers are in miles per hour, and fuel is sold by the gallon.
1 - more expensive
2 - skin seats and sunroof is greater rarity for C-Classe in Europe.
for example, if I'll bye Mercedes from U.S at 17500$ in Ukraine it will coast:
17500(car) + 1000(transport) + 12890(duty) = 31390$ + first registration in police and get ID numbers for car 2000$
if I'll bye Mercedes from Germany:
min. 22000(car) + 800(transport) + 15720(duty) = 38520$ + first registration in police and get ID numbers for car 2200$ minimum

...it's no problem.
PS. My mom drive Toyota Solara 2002 from USA...no problem
...so I think, car from USA is better for me than from Germany.
Diesel engine with 2,148 sm3 (2.2 L) is more expensive than petrol 1,796 sm3 (1.8 L).
2 - I shall not to do changes. I'll just bye sertificate. To bye MB-parts is not problem too, cuz I have credit card and I can bye from e-bay.
3 - I trust americans more than germans.
PS. As I know, from Germany to Ukraine delivered many stolen vehicles. I have friends in U.S. They can help to bye and send me car.
PPS. It's my opinion.
