$29 OEM Oil Filter??

I've read different prices for oem oil filters from the dealer ($17.50, $14, $20). I went to my local dealer and they wanted $29 after taxes. Is that the normal price now? If so, is there and disadvantage from using an aftermarket one like mann? Thanks.

Mann makes the OEM fleece filter. Make sure you get the right polyester filter with the O rings.

There is no disadvantage, unless you collect the Mercedes hologram tags from the parts box.

I just paid $20.50 for an OEM filter from the dealer (before tax). The part number on the invoice was 000-180-26-09. The part number on the actual filter was A 112 184 05 25. I can't speak about any disadvantages from using an aftermarket one like Mann.

Dealer cost on 000-180-26-09 is $16.50

Just FYI. Don't ask me to get you one unless you want 50 of them, lol.

I always have 'em throw a couple in when I order parts online.
Less than $10. I have some Mann, as well as ones from Mercedes around.

BTW- What year model does this person have? DOH!

You sell parts? Whats your website?
How does one determine who is a sponsor around here? Is there a list?
I ask because I looked one day and couldn't find it.

I can't seem to find the link to the sponsor list either. But if a sponsor posts, it will say "Sponsor" under their name.

I don't sell parts. I do get them for members at wholesale because I have a friend in the distribution network. He can get us just about any part, but I wouldn't waste his time with little cheap stuff.

I suggest you go to http://www.performanceproducts4benz.com/. Expect to pay about $10.00 to 14.00 for filter without shipping. Good supplier for US residents including brakes, engine and repair as well as performance parts.

The filter on my M112 is only slightly larger than the one on my 1000cc motorcycle. Has anyone actually shown the fleece filter to be any better?
