).Also, doesn't Ford market the Mondeo here under a different name (Contour, I think)? I'm not big on the X-Jag myself, I prefer the classic ones and the XK8 (allthough some think that one looks like a Taurus). After reading the Edmunds review I'd be a bit concerned about the build quality as well. Maybe I'm just funny about having the exhaust system not fall off a brand-new $35k car
:p .Cheers, BT
Did the Foucus replace the Contour, or was that already in their lineup?
The MB Hatchback is no exception. Esp. with its orange peel paint and Dodge Neon cloth interior.
Pricewise, it looks like it should cost the same as the VW Corrado would cost (if they still made it). Take a pic of a MB Hatchback side profile, cover up the headlights with your finger, and you are looking at a pic of a VW Corrado.
It is an ok car, in my opinion, but feel it looks more like a VW. For $30K I would have gone with the Jaguar X-Type. But hey, buy what you like!!
is that what socal wrote???i put him in my ignore list a long time ago so i can't normally see his posts (edit). i recommend you do the same b/c its not worth it.

I'm sorry that I posted a poll that would get so many people at ends with each other. I will think more before I do it again. Again I apologize for the "crap" this post cost. All I really wanted was a simple yes or no.
O Well
Sorry, Tim

Dude, get over your stupidity. Every time I See a post from you it's some snide comment about the C-coupe. Don't start threads to try to stir up trouble. Regardless of what you think the coupe LOOKS like, it IS a mercedes, and I think 4 out of 5 reviews testify to that. The quality of the car, the features, the safety features, the ride quality, you name it, its a mercedes, and you won't find what's in that car in any 20K "sports coupe" or hatchback. So-cal, you're a freaking moron, I'm sorry, every post from you is the same thing, and I didn't comment until now. If all you look at is looks, then yes, it SLIGHTLY appears like a hatchback, oh wait, that's until you see the front half which is COMPLETELY mercedes. Seems like the orange peel which covers your brain doesn't seem to realize that the VW Corrado didn't have ESP, 5 airbags, and mercedes quality running through it, oh but I forgot, the idiot there only goes by LOOKS to determine what a car should cost. I've yet to see any other "hatchback" or car in it's price range with this level of traction and stability control, fiber optic network, supercharged engine, dual zone climate control, rain sensing wipers, the list goes on and on and on. I think it's time for you to learn how to look at a car and not just what it looks like to judge value, which by the way is pretty damn good looking. It's a simple fact, not too many small hatchbacks have so many Mercedes components in them either. Oh and btw, it's not 30K, its 25K, but then you're probably illiterate as well as stupid. My 31K coupe is FULLY loaded.
And, are not really good at reading comprehension.
I agree, using looks to determine what a car should cost doesn't make a lot of sense.
BUT, the question was not "Is the Hatchback WORTH $30K."
Please re-read the poll question.
When you do so, you will see that your post exposes you as the illiterate one (although that is not really true, your spelling is great and way, way above average for this Board. Its amazing how many people can't spell, but can afford a $30K car. America Rules!).
(BTW if the question was "Is the C230 a good VALUE at $30K," I would tend to agree with you, for the reasons that you stated).
