C230 Service B completed
The warranty work I had completed was a drivers side door seal replacement and replacement of the panel/cargo cover for the hatch. The door seal was coming loose and not fitting properly. The panel/cargo cover had a broken plastic pin/hinge.
I drove their 2002 E320 4Matic loaner for two days. I'm glad to have my couple back.
I also learned that my salesman no longer works at the dealership. No loss. He knew little about cars.
What didn't you like about the loaner?
I would think replacing the wiper blade insert just requires you to get a long enough insert......it will flex to conform to the curve of the blade....
No, actually the blade is molded in a curve, and if you put a standard blade in, it chatters real bad.

I disagree with you. As far as I know, the blade rubber is extruded in long lengths and then trimmed to various sizes. It's hard to believe that MB would create and entirely new mfg. process to mold curved rubbers piece by piece, and just to achieve a huge radius. I think a standard insert will work and not chatter as long as it's of a good quality compound.

Take the refill out of the factory wiper blade assm, and you will see what I mean. It is definately curved, and not replaceable with a standard refill.
Maybe the new ones are not curved, but the factory ones are. I've had mine off 3 times trying to find blades locally, and all the auto parts stores look at it like it is off the space shuttle, and say "we ain't got nothin like that". BTW, it is only the pass side that is curved.

The tire warranty specifies that they should be done every 10K
to maintain the tire warranty.
But the c7's don't last so long.
My service advisor said he saw no need to rotate them, they
were gonna wear out soon.
So next question is what tires to buy?
Costco has Bridgestone for about 600 a set.
I'm not spending 1250 on Michelins!

Your car has what's called a FSS (flexible service schedule) The electronics check your oil and decides when it needs to be changed. It's based on your driving habits, weather, rpm and who knows what else. Some folks on the forum have gone well over 10K miles before the computer told them to go in for service.
Does not mean there is anything wrong with your car.
Enjoy the ride...............
