Does anyone know of a grill for an 07 w203 like the one on the new AMG black.

Not necessary exactly but specifically I'm looking for one where unlike most of the CL aftermarket grill...there is a gap between the top fin and the hood.

To me esthetically...the continuously top fin and hood make the grill look like it projects out a bit and not look flush at least on cameria.

I like the AMG black grill's chrome highlights and black fins, it has contrast and nice and flush.

yeah ive wanted a grille with that top gap as well for quite some time now, but if you take the time to pop the hood and look at where the grille it..you'll quickly realize that the grille attaches to the hood primarily on that top portion.

its not impossible to do...just very hard to make a grille that'll have that top gap

actually 2 screws on each side is enough to secure the grille just no one makes it like the black series. If anyone does it'll still look bad because you will see the hood mounting holes where the grille was suppose to cover it.

yep- and a little touchup paint to cover the edge of the bare metal, as not to get any rust

This isn't exactly like the black series grille, especially since I blacked out the chrome, but it's not like the CL-style you are referring to either. You can find grilles like this all day on ebay.

That looks a bit similar...which ebay seller, there are so many of them of varying quality.

oh yea, the Expression/MH-Dezent grille does have the gap and still covers up the mounting holes on the hood. check performanceproducts for those.

the ebay seller name is jacou or something like that. he is the one that has the red back ground on all of his grilles. that's the grille i had before the deer collision. good fit and finish.

Yeah Jakuo's grills is the style I don't like with the lack of gap, a picture of the silver one from his ebay auction is the one I used in my first post to illustrate my point.

I actually bought mine from a forum member, but I know I've seen this exact grille on ebay. I just looked and didn't see any auctions currently, but keep an eye out and you'll find what you're looking for.
