My dealer was offering $99 oil changes.

They filled it with Mobil 1 5w-40. I thought the only 229.5 approved oil sold in the US was 0w-40. Anyone?

Mobil 1 5W-40 is for diesels - No 229.5 approval. Make them remove & replace.

You've GOT to be kidding me. I have never experienced a more misinformed ***-backwards establishment in my life. I specifically wrote "0w-40" on the list I gave them. They put this oil in both of our cars (first time we were dumb enough to let them change the oil - because of the deal they had going on.)

THE C350
i have to ask all of you experts can i use this oil in my car http://www.amazon.com/Warren-Inc-579...4677718&sr=1-6. you see i am an idiot and bought a Mercedes that i can't afford and decided that i can cut corners on engine oil because it doesn't matter it will be fine. i also bought a paper oil filter because i can't afford the expensive $10 fleece filter. i plan on running it 18000 miles before the next oil change because this really good "do it best engine oil" is the best. my friends friends friends fathers neighbor says so. i also go the the best gas station called cheap leaded gas. i put in 87 octane that is loaded with lead that is really good for a Mercedes engine. lol i love reading posts about people that buy a Mercedes and then don't think they should spend the money to maintain it properly but then come here and complain when it has problems that were caused by the stupid owners. if you cant afford a Mercedes + 91octane + service a and b's with the proper fluids and filter + emergency gremlins cash don't buy a Mercedes. and for the people that think i am serious you all should know be better then that buy now i have been posting smart *** remarks and trying to help all of you guys on here for years. sorry for my rant it has been a long week. hope you all are having a nice quiet Sunday with a fun somewhere in it as well. i also hope i made some of you laugh because what i said is not far from the truth. also look closely at the shipping cost of the oil wtf.
