Yep, they're authentic. I haven't seen anyone replicate the RS-6 wheels yet. Now i see Lorinser centercaps on ebay but i am not sure about their authenticity. It wouldn't make sense to throw a replica centercap (if there is such a thing) on an authentic wheel.

well i guess it doesnt really matter...im sure people have bought authentic brabus wheels and then realized they didnt come with center caps and end up getting them on FMM or something, you get my point.

its like buying a debadged amg and then wanting to badge it and getting a fake one on ebay! haha

yeap! OZ wheels are one of the "less expensive" light weight wheels, but some of their wheels are pretty pricey, I forgot, but is OZ italian?

well WORK and VOLK wheels are used very often among those Jap imports. its pretty popular. One of our unique members, im sure everyone knows, coupecrazy03 has some light weight work wheels!

HELP... Back wheels making clicking sound..

Ok guys, I did research up here before i got my new rims and even when i was talking with the guy i made sure that they woudl fit (i have a 2003 C320 Coupe), and he said that he did a few applcations with what i wanted and no problems... so i got

(2) 19x8.5 35 Offset
(2) 19x9.5 35 Offset

MRR Wheels.

The fronts fit just fine, and the backs fit on too... but when i drive... there is a horrible clicking kind of sound like something is obviously hitting something else when it rotates... i took the wheel off inspected the back to see if there were rub marks, but nothing... couldnt see anything obvious hitting when the wheel is on, but something is rubbing and i cant figure it out...

not sure if spacers will do the trick becuase that will just push it out more right? help please i dont want ot just have to sell them they look sick on the car!

Thanks!

This is a VERY common problem. Your rear lugbolts are too long and are hitting the parking brake assembly. Not sure how much you have already driven your car like that, but there's a good chance you'll do some expensive damage if you don't get some shorter lugs ASAP.

There will probably be marks on the bolts from where they're hitting - measure and buy new ones that will clear.

FYI: Make sure you know whether your wheels should use ball seat or conical seat lugs. Stock lugs are ball seat and so were my Brabus wheels, but when I got my BBS wheels they were conical seat. Thankfully, lugs were provided. I know there's an article at TireRack.com that will help you figure out how many rotations your lugs should have in order to make sure they're the right length. Obviously, you'll hear the clicking if they're too long... but you definitely don't want to find out the hard way that they're too short!

i had this problem with my mrr's too, the shop i had them installed at actually shaved down the bolts to clear the brakes, and now no problems at all.

and they stuck in studs, with nuts to lock the wheel in place, instead of the regular bolt that screws into the plate.

I wish I had a bench grinder to just shave mine down too, unfortunaly i dont, ill have to just buy shorter ones... from what i am reading around the fourms people say they use 24 mm ones...

wheels autohaus said they should have sent me 24 but they could have been 28... so i dont know ill look.. if anyone can confirm that 24 should work in the back that would be awesome! thanks

true but im going to be lowering it so with the spacers it might push the wheels out a little to far... they are close as it is to the wheel well...

Just grind your current lug bolts down to the length you need. Thats what I had to do with mine.

I had this same problem I bought these wheels on ebay to replace my ugly c240 wheels. With the wheels i also ordered shorter lug nuts and when I put them on yesterday they were still clicking.

Today (before reading this thread) I used a lock washer to shorten the lug nut length even more and The clicking stoped but i got a squeeking sound? What would cause this?

The wheels about to fall off?

In all seriousness, check how many full turns you get out of the shorty lugs.

squeeking is prolly the washers being spun or spun against by the bolts.

changing rims

Hey guys, couple of questions here:

First off, im driving an '01 C240, I am assuming they have 16" stock rims on them. (everything on my car is stock), but will 18, or 19 inch rims fit on this car without shaving anything off?

Second, is tirerack.com a good place to buy rims and tires from, considering my car is rearwheel drive, and we have a decent amount of snow where I live, If I get snow tires, I may have much more ease in driving. I am considering black rims, any other suggestions for retailers for rims and tires?

Third and last, how do these look to you guys? Facts? Opinions?

I dont think I am understanding that site properly, do all the different color spokes come with the Rim, or only one choice?

Thanks alots guys.

Hey buddy, what's up. 18" and 19" wheels will fit on your car with no modifications as long as you get them in the right offsets and widths. You do not want to buy snow tires on 18" and 19" wheels because the traction is going to be horrible regardless. What I recommend is to get like performance/summer tires on the 18"/19" wheels and then just run on the stock wheels for the few months with snow.

Tirerack.com is a good reputable site, but do some shopping...you'll find that you can find tires cheaper at other places and a lot more variety for rims

Custom widebody will likely require custom wheels to fit right.
