I'm not sure I agree with you Mugen, but like I said, wheels are what you want them to be. If I had a few grand to spend on wheels I probably would. I drive my car every day so why not? Unfortunately, with my current financial situation there's a lot better things I can use a few thousand dollars for (like college) so I have to stick with things that are cost effective.

thanks for all the comments guys, I would totally buy either these rims or the ASA ST4's like C24Owner has but I'm turning the car into the dealership in 4 more months
so I can't get any new mods for it.

Noob here, just starting to dress up my C200. Agree that whatever floats one's boat is one's prerogative. So far, most of the vehicles on this site are pretty cool ones so nobody seems to be headed the wrong direction.

they look ok, but 31lbs!!!! f-that! waaaaay too heavy! that's what replica's weigh.
for the price, there's no point--you're going to make an already slow car even slower...

Buying new rims
Hello everybody, I am about to buy these rims and tires for my car, I would like to know what are your opinions about this and I am willing to accept any recomendation in this matter.
I think they will fit fine in my c230K 2002 (2door) I already have 17 in the car and I need to buy new tires around 500 mounted and I was think if I invest 500 humdred more why not to get bigger rims so whhat you think ... good idea right?
here it is the link..

weight does make a difference, you wont know til you own a set of forged wheels and can pick them up with one hand with a tire mounted on it, with ease.

that offset is about right for an 8.5" wheel- not sure about a 8" wheel though. i think i would be cautious of a set of wheels and tires for $700 though. i'm not saying you need to spend $5k either- but there's a happy medium somewhere, and i'm not so sure that those wheels are it.
check the wheel thread- someone might have already tried those wheels or at least that size/offset.
