Franco, killer wheels man. I always liked those many spokes type Haha.. Don't know what its called.

Joe, they're nice, but I prefer the amg ones I got.. And dependant on the colour of your car, blacked out rims don't always suit my fancy.

Hey all just wanted to get your opinions. I was thinking of snagging these rims. A shop is selling em for 1180 with wheels. Price includes professional Mounting, Computer Road Force balance, and Installation. They are 19 staggered. What do you think? Matte black on Barolo Red?

I have a stock 2001 black c240. I want to get the replica amg rims off ebay. I cant decide on 18s or 19s and hyper black, silver, or gunmetal machine faced. Will I need spacers? I have the stock 16 rims that come with the car and no fancy sport packages or mods. Does anyone have pics of the hyper white or silver ones installed?

Youre gonna need more info. Like what widths do you want, offset, tire size. If you read through the thread this question has been answered a BIZZILLION times.

For offset you want the highest to be +35 and lowest around +20
For staggered wheels most get 8.5 front and 9.5 in rears.
18s or 19s is your choice if you plan on lowering it or not. If you get 19s and dont lower it you car will look like a 4x4. You wont need spacers if you can an offset around +35 if you can only get +40 or something like that then you'll need spacers. Also when you buys the wheels you need to see if they wheels are acorn lug bolts or ball set, then you'll need to measure out what size lug bolts you need because if you get them too long it'll damage your breaking system and too short it wont hold your wheels on. When you put the bolt on it it'll take 6 full turns from initial start to tighten.

As for tires, the fronts can only fit 235 as the widest. Your tire choice will depend on what width wheels you get.

thanks for the quick response. My plan was to buy the rims then take them to a tire shop and get new tires and have them figure out all the details,I definitely dont want to lower the car. With 18s i would get low profile tires maintain a similar ride height?

here is the link which im sure youve seen a million times.

those 18s will fit fine since its +35 all around. no spacers needed. For tires you should get 225/40/18 and 255/35/18. Plus look for some good tires that'll last. Michelin, bridgestone, Yokohama, Hankook, Conti are good choices with our cars. If you go with the Continentals get the DSW, many guys just recently got them and the love the tires.

that suck. I loved my S. Drives when I put them on my stock wheels. I have the Bridgestone RE760 right now since it was new and no ones tired them out. Tires are awesome, cant complain about them

Does anyone know if we need the "shoulder" on the spacers for both front and rears?

Because i'm running 15mm in the front and none in the back, I would need a 10mm to make it flush/even right? I was getting mixed answers for the rears, to go 5mm more or less to make it flush with the front.

My question is how some hubcentric 10mm spacers have no center ring/shoulder/lip. Would I need the shoulder for both front/rear? If yes, I would have to run 15mm in the front and 12mm in the rear because the 10mm didn't have a shoulder. I'm only asking because I found cheap hubcentric spacers 66.56 bore for mercedes for only 20-30 bucks for a pair, where 12mm and up have the shoulders and 10mm and lower does not.

thanks

here's a couple of very useful links, first one has info plus calculator, second one just a calculator....

The fronts wont require any lip but the rears you will need a lip after 5mm spacers, so if you get 10mm spacers you need the specific ones for the rears with the lip. If you remove the wheels, you'll notice the front has a longer lip on the hub then the rear. The rear barely has any lip on the hub, thats why you'll need the lip on the rear spacers, so the wheel will have something to sit on and align with on the hub. I have 5mm on the rears without a lip and it barely has room for the wheel to sit on, maybe 3mm or so. If you go to H&R website you'll see that you'll need the specific 10mm for the rears with the lip. Also dont go cheap on the spacers with the lips, some have been known to get stuck in the wheel hub of the wheel and when trying to remove, the lip breaks off the spacer and the lip is stuck in the wheel and then you have to beat the lip out of the hub. Go with H&R spacers, pricier but well worth it in build quality.

Well my 18 amg rims arrived. I took them to pep boys (yes i know they suck) and they said that they are too wide for my vehicle (2001 c240 stock options). What the heck???? I got them off ebay from oem wheels +

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

On the item it says they fit, then I posted here and was told by members that they would definitely fit. WTF!!!!! I dont know what to do. I can maybe return them but that blows. Does anyone know whats going on here? Is pep boys full of shet? They said theyd rub and they didnt even want to try to install them.

The wheels will definitely fit with the 35 offset. Pepboys never wants to do aftermarket install if its not bought through them. Just go to to a indy tire shop and install it. Also make sure you have the correct lug bolt lengths or you'll ruin your braking system.

C350 Coupe (CL203)
Size: 18x8.5 Front / 18x9.5 Rear
Bolt Pattern: 5x112
Finish: Hyper Black (Silver)
Offset: 35 Front / 35 Rear
with matching offsets i'd say your likely to need spacers somewhere, also 9.5" rears are quite wide.

Many people on here run +35 offset all around without any issue. Since his car doesn't have the larger caliper up front he won't have any clearance issues. 9.5 rear is the norm when upgrading a staggered wheel setup. Hector is even running 10" in the rear without issues, now once he lowers it he'll most likely have to roll his fenders for them not to rub. But if you search through this thread, the +35 offset 18x8.5 & 18x9.5 question has been answered a trillion times and many have posted pics of them fitting fine.
