I thought FrankW was saying in your other thread that the offset of the front rims won't fit your car due to the size of the front lips of the rims . It has nothing to do with CF lip..

Well, maybe I read and understood it wrong.. You have BBKs, then you'll need at least 28-30 F ET for your car.

Okay .....sooooooo I'm lost...

Is this a bad idea? And what kind of wheels would fit my car with no problems?

Are spacers an option? And if so...is this all I would need to make these wheels fit?

I absolutley LOVE the look and dont want to pass them up...but being a newbie in the Benz (German-made) world...I need some goood help and advice. Those imports were always so easy...now...I just feel dumb..

SO THANKS FOR HELP AGAIN GUYS....and feel free to answer the above Q'....

Like I said...I realllyyyyy dont wana pass these up.

So what exactly do I need to make them work for me??

I fully mis-understood what FrankW was saying...thank you for opening my eyes....I see how it could fall in too deep and become and issue..

If you don't have BBKs, these rims will fit to your car just PERFECT. I think ET 28 F and ET32 R are the ideal ETs for W203s, again could be wrong, Blake, Drex or other experts should be able to answer your questions easily here

You could use 3/5 MM spacers for these rims and it'll fit. There's a possiblity that you steering wheel will vibrate because of the spacers you have on the fronts. However' I've read some folks here using spacers on their cars and NO vibration at all. STTF

there is no 2-3 mm hubcentric spacers. H&R hubcentric spacers starts at 8mm. 5mm is only a machined and balanced spacer.

i don't think you will be buying those. the offset is wrong as well as the bolt pattern.

search the wheel thread for the specs you need.

C230k coupe 500sec convertible
traveled through 2 sets of rear tires on these (like 20,000 miles)

The issues with SL rims????--

1. They need a 3mm spacer not a 5mm in the front not to rub the fenders-- severe bumps caused this(this fixed with a fender roll)

2. since these spacers were hubcentric, they fit on the hub fine, but our hubs taper--this causes vibration if rims not put on correctly
(this fixed by lifting car off ground and slowly tigtening in star pattern by hand --be a gorrilla about it before you set it back down on the ground!)

3. The 2mm difference our 12mm to their 14mm in lug diameter added to the vibration and caused bolts to break under severe tourque from rear tires-- someone said you could get hybrid bolts but could not find them myself---
(so no fix other than to always check the bolts in the rear from time to time and replace--- ONLY GET THE BOLTS FROM OTIS LA not from anywhere else (cheap chinese parts will break trying to put them on-and never use chrome lugs)

hope this helps you out

Where's the best place to find the spacers if I need them??

Thanks ONE MORE TIME for alll the help guys!

You have the same brake I have, and it's considered big brake. I have 10mm spacers for my front.

RadusaDirect has the lugs with the proper thread and ball seating (r14) for CLS/SL wheels on the w203. They can come in various shank lengths for your application also. I believe they are one of our sponsors too.
