Cant remember exactly right off,but I'm pretty sure our offset is right at or around 33,so u should be in good shape w/the offset...but I'd check that hub bore for sure...I dont have my owners manual on me otherwise I could tell ya for sure.

our lug pattern is 5x112, bore is if i remember correctly 66.56, offsets can vary, it depends on a few things, if you plan on lowering the car with coilovers, you might want to get a lower offset so you don't hit the coils or have to use spacers. The front depends on what size wheel you get 19x8, 19x8.5. offset can be anywhere between +35 all the way down to +22, if you roll fenders, you can probably go even lower.. so basically you have to take all of that into consideration before you get your wheels... it could get kinda complicated but the wheel thread has a lot of good info...

Aftermarket Wheel / Suspension Mods
Once again my profuse apologies for starting a new thread but need some urgent advice...
As some of you ma know, from previous threads, I currently have an issue with lowering my '04 C200K... bad front wheel offset (ET35) + H&R Coilovers.
I have come to the conclusion that I either need to dump the wheels or maybe even the whole setup as is but not too sure at this stage. I have noticed by browsing though the suspension thread, that most guys use TIEN instead of H&R Coilovers... are they better and also are they more forgiving than H&R with regards to wheel offset...
Also thinking of getting a different set of 19" wheels with a front offset of ET28, instead of getting 10mm spacers for my fronts but here's what bothering me (please forgive my non techical background on this):
I currently have a front offset of ET35 x 8.5j and if I were to add a 10mm spacer at the front, it would essentially have an offset of ET25, problem though is that the wheel would extend past the fender line and not really look that neat... not sure though cause I notice many other guys with 19x8.5j wheels with the correct offset to clear coilovers which I reckon should be about ET28 which not far off a ET25 which mine would be with a 10mm spacer...
What to do???
1. Do I dump the H&R CO's and rather go for TIEN Basic CO's
2. Keep the H&R CO's and 'TRY' (gonna be difficult here in S.A.) and get other wheels: 19x8/8.5J ET28 F, 19x9.5J ET35 R...
3. Just get the 10mm hubcentric spacers and live with the front wheel extending past the fender line
4. Just get the TIEN CO's and other wheels while I'm at it...
Wanted to use the extra bucks to paint the roof black and have a sunroof fitted for the summer sun but just don't 'smaak' driving around with a car that has a set of CO's and can't bet slammed
Once again, forgive me for starting a new post

I pick option 3.
Get spacers and PROPER tires. You'll be fine. Might need to "roll" the plastic fender lining a bit, but other than that, you should be fine.
I believe all coil overs are gonna require you to have about 27-28mm front offset w/ a 8.5" wide wheel. SO changing CO's wont help much there. I think more people go w/ teins because they are more affordable.
Good luck.
ps you're gonna get stff'd to death soon.

Thanks for all the help guys, especially Hawaiiboy808...
Think the best bet will to try and get a custom 7 - 8mm spacer made up, alternatively get either Eibach or H&R spacers and custom it to what I want it to be...
All sorted thanks guys... now I can even get the sunroof

19's on my C230, what about ride quality???
ok, i did a search and it seems like 19's will fit on my car without modifications. but what i didn't see anything about was overall ride quality. i am concerned about feeling every single bump and crack in the road. the wheels that i like don't come in 17" or 18" - should i keep looking or bite the bullet? other than ride quality i find that sometimes wheels can look too big on cars (i know some people would disagree), does anyone else agree and would 19's look too big on my car?
thanks for the input!
oh yeah, here are the wheels i am looking at, tell me what you think:

thanks for the reply, yeah i called the guy and asked that same question. he claims they will fit w/o any spacers or anything. the 17's that i have on right now are staggered. i am sure he would have said anything though to sell them, anyway i can find out for sure??

damn it frank..you beat me too it. I still don't get why mods dont sticky that thread. People ask about rims every week. But yeah 19's ride fine...just make sure the offsets match with stock or you will need to get spacers.

you are very close to irvine, I have similar style and it's 19 with stock sport suspension.
you are welcome to come over and take a look at it to see if you actually like it or not.

Well, while we're on the subject, I might as well ask a question. From him going two inches larger in diam., what will the speedometer error be? Is there something in SDS that can tell the car what size wheels are on it as to not give you false speed readings and mileage?
