why would u need 10mm spacers for i just purchased my h&r coilovers. but havent put em on yet. i believe my set up is the same as urs. 8.5 with an ET35. the rims barely clear right now without spacers. but why would u need spacers if u have h&r c/o? just wondering. cuz u got me thinking now.
The problem is I cannot go any lower than 2 finger gap in the fronts since my tires almost rub against the COs. It's really2 tight right now.
Like I said, I or he would need spacers OR rounded tires OR new wheels with better ET if we want to slam our cars like yours.
You're running springs, so I'm guessing different size of suspension. The springs don't rub against your tires even with slamming your car

Once again my profuse apologies for starting a new thread but need some urgent advice...
As some of you ma know, from previous threads, I currently have an issue with lowering my '04 C200K... bad front wheel offset (ET35) + H&R Coilovers.
I have come to the conclusion that I either need to dump the wheels or maybe even the whole setup as is but not too sure at this stage. I have noticed by browsing though the suspension thread, that most guys use TIEN instead of H&R Coilovers... are they better and also are they more forgiving than H&R with regards to wheel offset...
Also thinking of getting a different set of 19" wheels with a front offset of ET28, instead of getting 10mm spacers for my fronts but here's what bothering me (please forgive my non techical background on this):
I currently have a front offset of ET35 x 8.5j and if I were to add a 10mm spacer at the front, it would essentially have an offset of ET25, problem though is that the wheel would extend past the fender line and not really look that neat... not sure though cause I notice many other guys with 19x8.5j wheels with the correct offset to clear coilovers which I reckon should be about ET28 which not far off a ET25 which mine would be with a 10mm spacer...
What to do???
1. Do I dump the H&R CO's and rather go for TIEN Basic CO's
2. Keep the H&R CO's and 'TRY' (gonna be difficult here in S.A.) and get other wheels: 19x8/8.5J ET28 F, 19x9.5J ET35 R...
3. Just get the 10mm hubcentric spacers and live with the front wheel extending past the fender line
4. Just get the TIEN CO's and other wheels while I'm at it...

Wanted to use the extra bucks to paint the roof black and have a sunroof fitted for the summer sun but just don't 'smaak' driving around with a car that has a set of CO's and can't bet slammed
Once again, forgive me for starting a new post

Question: Lorinser RS5 Tire Size?
I just recently purchased a set of 18" Lorinser RS5's to be installed on a 2002 C-230 w/ Lorinser Kit.
The rims are staggered 18x8.5 by 18x9.5. Sorry for the newbie question, but what is the recommended tire size for these rims?
Just want to make sure and confirm:
18x8.5 = 225/40ZR18
18x9.5 = 255/35ZR18
Will the tire wall be flush with the lip of the rims?
Thanks ahead.

Dudde i really love your car once I get these wheels I plan on getting a smoked looking tint, smoked tails but just the red, very lightly smoke thead lights, and get smoked sidemarkers. I also may get like a half polished/black grille with the flat hoodstar.

Seen very similar wheel on benz & they looked great. IMHO they will look really good. Need some nice brakes peeping out behind them

since I am really low on budget, i wanna still get some wheels for the car and roll wid style, but want to stick with 17"s so i wont need to mess with the suspension. My question is, are there actually good looking 17"s on the c230K??? (other than the OEM AMG's)

Eurotech Luxury Wheels in your neck of the woods. Cintoman speaks highly of them. They have AMG copies in 17 & many others

The Bremma is IMHO the next best thing to genuine AMG wheels.
BTW - yesterday I heard a rumour that the TSW factory that makes the Bremma has gone belly up. This came from Tiger Wheels South Africa - where the TSW empire started.
I will try to confirm. But you might have to move quickly if you want Bremmas

Mind those curbs!
Ouch. All four of mine have deposited some of their aluminum, but at least they’re still airtight.

The coin I’ve saved with my junky cell has been going toward my upgraded wheel and tire account.
