W203/CL203 Aftermarket Wheel Thread - All you want to know
#6180
I agree that if your gonna go with black wheels. You need to tint the windows and the tails. I used light tint on my tails so that it is a dark cherry red. It all flows nicely IMO. If you go too dark on the tails, i think it looks cheesy and gives you a honda look.
If you want a classy look, go with silver. But I wanted a young sporty look so i went with black.
Good luck choosing.

if you have a BRABUS mono VI replica i need your experience on spacers.
as you can see in the pics a have the CHEAP $7 spacer. its lasted me 2 years before i felt really bad vibrations. ive been looking for hub centric spacers to eliminate the vibration. i tried on some lorinser spacers yesterday and it did not fit because of the center diameter. one of the pics has the measurement in MM(66.55) and the other in inches(2.618). if any of you guys have the same rim or similar and you used spacers it would really help if you told me the brand and where i could get them. or maybe even a part number would be allot of help.

So i'm going to try to help out so this doesn't happen again.
This is how the spacer fits on my wheels (Lorinser Spacer and Lorinser Wheels)
The spacer has a ring around the center that goes inside the wheel.
On MBCollectors wheels they did not go it. Where i circled red is where the middle ring hit.

No offense MBCollector and i'm not trying to be rude or degrade you by saying this but:
I think he is interested in cheap spacers. I remember him mentioning that a member recommended him H&R but they are too expensive.
So I think the question should be "Where can he find very cheap (price) spacers?
I think his best bet is to keep looking in the classifieds. I don;t know how much the H&Rs go for but the Lorinser is $119 for 7mm with bolts. Plus 100 for locking bolts with two keys so don't feel bad we all get rape din the behind for these spacers and bolts.
Good luck again just keep looking in the classifieds. It's a waiting game soon you will find the right ones.
I think his price range is around 60. Thats what he offered me but I knew he was going to drive far and waste gas so I said 50 and it's yours. So anywhere from 60 - 80. But I think that might be hard maybe possible but hard.

No problem JK. actually i picked up some wheel spacers today H&R, Ichiba and Bimmec and some lugs. so far only the H&R work infront but the Ichiba and Bimecc only work for the rear. so tom im returning the Ichiba and Bimmec spacers. ill be keeping the H&R ones. but for some reason i dont feel a diff in steering and they look the same to me.

Has anyone ever heard of LUXE WHEELS?
LUXE WHEELS LX3 has the same design as MRR GT1, but I wasn't able to distinguish the differences betwen the two. It'd be great if people who know about LUXE could fill me in. thanks

im not too sure if theyre in anyway affiliated with one another...
all i know is MRR GT1 have a polished lip, while LUXE LX3 has a chrome lip
quality wise, i think theyre about the same.
price wise, LUXE is cheaper.
im just wondering if anyone has heard of or has these wheels cuz i need some testimony

actually i called HMS last week, and it was a guy named Ernest who picked up. I wanted to get some quotes on a wheel and tire package...and he actually recommended LUXE LX3 because of the chrome lip. Plus, he said if i get the LUXE wheel + tire package, itd be the price of MRR wheel + tire package minus $160.
i mean, its a good deal, but i just want to get some feedback before i pull the trigger.

i've heard about LUXE wheels, but not much.
However something everyone should know is that in the replica wheels industry there are only so many actual manufacturers from either China or Taiwan or Malaysia etc. Many company that carrry the same style are usually one and the same with a different name on the cap. just by looking at the line-up from Luxe I'm pretty sure they're one and the same cast with MRR, but just with a different finish and price.

the only distinguish difference, like you said, is the the center cap. maybe they are practically the same.
MRR's got a good rep.

im totally kool with MRR; its just polished lips are hard to take care...they tend to grow dull after a while...
i think machined lips (LUXE) have a more glossy shine coating, which won't dull...
