i lower the car a little since thats what i would do next after getting the wheels. they look good !! i have a red one too.

I AM IN AS OF NOW IN BLACK
i don't care about the 3 month wait, that gives me more time to get the money together for the wheels and tires.

19" Staggered Wheels Question
I have a 2005 C230K SS, currently with the OEM staggered 17" wheels. I am thinking of getting a set of 19" staggered replicas for my car (I will only use these in the summer). I have no plans of lowering the car or doing any other springs, etc. modifications. How will the 19's change/affect my ride (comfort, ride quality, etc.)? Keep in mind I live in Chicago. Would 18's be better in my situation? Any feedback is appreciated.

Wouldn't know, don't have 19s, yet.

What I do know is that you can search for the forum for your answers.

you will feel the road more and if you hit a big bump it might bend your rims. it also depends on what rims you get but most of them are heavy.

Well, considering that the '05's and up have AMG springs (from what I understand), your decision not to lower the car is yours alone.

If you get 19's, the ride will be changed a little (in terms of comfort). If you get staggered rims(19X8.5 F / 19X9.5-10.0 R) and tires (235/35R19 F / 265/30R19 R - most common setup), you have to consider the fact that there is less rubber on the wheels, therefore, the possibility of you feeling more of the road is likely.

I don't know how living in Chicago would make a difference. I don't really know how the roads are there and/or if that means that the roads have lots of pot-holes, cracks, bumps, etc... If that is the case, it all depends on what you can handle in terms of a "rough" ride. The replica rims are all 1 piece rims.

Even with the stock AMG springs, I think the car will not look as good unless you do consider getting springs to lower the car. One of the funniest looking things to see on the road is a car with nice looking rims, low profile tires and no drop to make the car look right. It basically looks like you raised the car because of the wheel gap. In your case, it most likely won't be that drastic.

18's won't make that much a difference because you will still be running on less rubber than stock.

I hope that helps.

Anybody have RPM 505 Wheels
Does anybody run RPM 505 wheels. I am interested in experiences and pics of 18x8 + 18x9 staggered fitment. Also how do you guys feel about the chrome vs the black w/chrome lip wheels. I have a black '01 C320. Thanks for the input.

the front weight about 31lbs and the rear weights about 33lbs.

the stock AMG type IV 17x7.5 weights about 26lbs. The stock ss 17" shoulb be similar.

the warranty is for the first full year for paint or lost rivets. damages such as bends from potholes or curb rash can't be covered.

I might jump in. The 1/16s are taking way long. Anyone have pics of these on a silver car? Or a photoshop? It'd help so much. Thanks in advice if anyone can do this.
