I had cls wheels that were 18x8.5 +28 & 18x9.5 +33 and was on stock ss springs and had no rubbing issues what so ever. Since his car sits higher he definitely wont have any issues with rubbing and having to roll his fenders. He just needs to go to a different tire shop.

wheel spacers?

hello everybody, im new to MBW but so far love all the info you all have posted over the years. thank you!

i have an '03 230k coupe. its magma red with a blacked out grill and 20% tint all around. i just purchased a set of 18" 112mm X 5 35mm offset MSR style045. they are black with a silver lip.

i took them in today to belletire to get rubber and have them mounted and they told me the rims dont fit. they said the wheel is too wide and will rub against my struts. they also said that the center bore-hole is slightly too small. i dont get it, what am i missing? do i need wheel spacers? and if so, should i go; 10mm, 15mm, or 20mm?

im putting toyo 225/40-18 tires on them.

thanx again for your help. i hope someone replys as i REALLY want to mount these rims!

What is the width? From your tire selection I'm assuming 8 or 8x8.5

What is the width? From your tire selection I'm assuming 8 or 8.5. 35mm will fit. Also our center bore is 66.6 so you might have gotten a an Audis center bore size which is too small. You can have a shop bore it out to the right size. But other than your bore problem everything else shows that it'll fit. Don't believe some shops

It should say on the box they came in or on the inside of the wheel where the other wheel specs are.

Thanks... I still have a laundry list of things I'm doing.

No they wont. The highest offset you want is +35 and the lowest is +20-25. Make sure bore size is 66.6

Ok what spacers would I need, and is it a lot of hassle?

You'll need at least 15mm spacer up front and 55mm shank lug bolts to accommodate the spacer and you'll need 20-25mm spacers in rear and 60-65mm shank lug bolts. If you're looking for a nice set of 17s you should go for the SS 5 spoke wheels or 07 w203 wheels, both are good choices.

phister, would using 15mm spacers all around be ok? ive never used spacers before. i dont have any coilovers and i havent rolled my fenders. although im open to doing all of that and actually eventually want to, just dont know enough about camber and such yet.

wheels were the 1st step. then headlights. then everything else.

thanx again sir. have a good one.

15mm would be fine just get hubcentric 66.6 spacers and correct lug bolts. Roland has 15mm spacers I believe. You'll have to get a camber kit once you lower your car.

How will these rims fit on my 2001 C320? I'm worried abut the rear 30 offset. Will I need new lugs or can I use the stock once?

Thanks,

if i'm not mistaken, all of the w203 sedan wheels should fit on each other EXCEPT, sedans with the sport package(i.e. larger brakes in the front) will only fit the wheels that come on the sport package models. But if you're getting wheels from a sport package model for non-sport, then it's no problem.

will these fit

Looking to pick up some wheels with these specs

Diameter: 19 inches

Width: 8.5J front
10J rear

Offsets: ET 30 front
ET 35 rear

Anyone know if these will work without needing spacers or rolling fenders? What tire sizes would you guys recommend?

You should be ok if you dont lower your car, 10" in the rear is pushing it. Hector has 10" in his rear if I recall corretly and is on OEM SS springs. But if you plan on lowering it you'll have to either stretch the rear tires so it doesnt rub or you'll have to roll and pull the fenders to get them to fit and not rub.

Tire size,...

FRONT: 19x8.5 rims with 235/35R19 tires

REAR: 19x10 rims with 265/30R19 tires (maybe???)

You certainly won't need spacers,... but I'm not as sure with regards to rolling fenders (especially the rear ones). Anyways,.. with 19" rims and super low tires,.... you better be driving on baby-butt smooth roads.
