those will fit. I'd recommend 225/40/18, 235/40/18, or 245/40/18 depends on how meaty you want your tires lol

With a Michelin PS2 as an example - 235 is the widest you can go on the front without fouling the strut at ET35. 245 will foul without spacers.
It is tyre dependent but a 245 fouls at ET32 so ET35 is definite.

If in any doubt for the front do a test fit or use 1010 Tires calculators from known measurements on your car.

Okay...so I did what u guys said....bought 55mm and 50mm bolts to accomodate the 15mm and 10mm spacers...problem now is that the bolts are too long all around...the rears..we cut off 13mm and was still too short....how much thread is needed enough safely fit the rims...also these rims are work varianza d3s 19x8.5/9.5...
The shop said the bolts measurement would have only been good if it was going on the existing rim..I guess the work rims need a way shorter bolt size

Heres the specs
M12 x 1.50 = 6.5 turns = approx. 10 mm of load bearing shaft length

Alrighty guyssss.
Works VS-XX 18x8 and 18x19 et 38 all around.
i'm running 10mm non-hubcentric in the front as of now(planning on switching to hubcentric) and it really barely clears the calipers but no contact.
what size in the rear would i need to get in order for the wheels to sit flush?
thanks!

Anthracite, or Gunmetal in two tone with silver or diamond cut and polished sections.
Also, i don't think those ebay auction rims posted above are worth that much each, they are OEM alloys, and not a particularly popular one at that

it all depends on what you want staggered or not. with non staggered you can rotate all your tires if you get assymetrical or symmetical tires. with staggered you can only rotate left to right and vice versa.
as for offset, the highest I'd go is +35 and lowest would be +25. 225/40/18 is a good size for tires unless you want more beefier tires then go with 235/40/18. If you go staggered Id get 225/40 front and 255/35 rears. The widest you'd want to go upfront is 18x8.5 and rears 18x9.5 unless you want to do some fender work because it will rub a little if you drop it. The mildest drop i can think off is either looking for a set of used SS springs or maybe getting some Eibach or Tein springs. I believe the Eibach will lower the car the least.

2005 C230 Sport Sedan, 20mm Spacers on front ok?
Hey everyone, looking for some advise. I have a 2005 C230 sport Sedan, it has the factory large calipers on it. For the 19" HR2 wheels I want to put on, I need to use 20mm Spacers on the front to clear the large calipers.
I tried plain hubcentric 15mm spacers on the front and the wheel still clipped the caliper during rotation.
I want to use HR spacers, something that bolts in first, but everything that is 20mm is marked Rear Application only. Does anyone know why? Can the 20MM Rear app. spacers be used on the front?
I love the wheels i have and really want to use them, I have even seen them on other C230s and cant figure out how they accomplished it.
Any help, or knowledge of the reasoning on the spacers would be awesome

Rear spacers have this lip on it so the wheel hub can fit on it. If you look at your rear rotors they have a very small lip to put your wheel hubs on. So if you put spacers on it needs the hub lip so the wheels can sit on it or you wont have any.
if you try it on the front the lip will hit the OEM lip and you cant fit it on or the spacer needs to be cut where the OEM lip will fit inside spacer and then the lip from the spacer will taper down to fit the wheel hub.

I have looking through this thread for the past couple of days and I think I have decided on which wheels I want to get. Here are the specs currently:
2005 C230K Sport Sedan 6MT
Standard Sport Suspension
Standard Sport Front Brakes
Stock 5 Spoke Sport Rims Staggered
225/45/17 F
245/40/17 R
The suspension is more than likely going to stay the way it is, no more lowering cars for me! Getting to old for it and the Sport Suspension is enough for me. Having said that, these are the wheels I am looking to purchase:
http://www.oemwheelsplus.com/mb/mb51...heels-set.html
18x8.5 +35 Front
18x9.5 +35 Rear
Which AMG model does this wheel come from?
From what I have read, it looks like I will need a 5mm front spacer to get to the ideal +30 offset to clear the front strut and brake caliper, is this correct?
The rears should be bolt on and go with no spacers or modifications. Tire size I am looking at is:
225/40/18 F
255/35/18 R
Do I need anything additional such as the lug bolts? Since mine are pretty beat up and if I wanted to replace them anyway, what would be the length to look for to run these wheels as well as my stock wheels with winter tires?
And finally..... does anyone have a picture, their own or photoshopped, of these wheels on a Black C230K SS? Much appreciated! Can't wait for the weather to start cooperating to get my pics up! Been a long, cold Winter and I am dying to get the first coat of wax on her!
