Quote: So what is exactly wrong with going for offsets higher than +38? I've been thinking the higher the offsets the more the wheel will stick out from my experience. I guess it was just certain wheels. Volks/Audis people been telling me that I got the whole offset understanding backwards, since 38 is the highest and 20 is the lowest.

Would it be possible for me to fit a 17" bbs lm staggered (not sure width)? With et 45 in the front and et 40 in the back?
Higher the offset/ high the number of the offset the less of spacing/the wheel gets closer to the hub. The lower the offset the more the wheel sticks out.

Highest you can go is 37 on 17x7.5 and that is the stock c32 offset for the front. And this is with a rim design that has no lip with the spokes pushed to the lip

+1 - with offsets in the 40's you will require spacers.

Oh really? That's not bad. I just thought it would be impossible to put on. Time to experiment.

Hi guys!

I want to know if 8,5J x 19 ET25 and 9,5J x 19 ET28 will fit my 2005 w203?

I had 8.5 x 19 ET23 up front with my lemans and those were flush with a little poke. But i want to know if the rear will fit.

Bought me a set of 19" cls wheels today.
And they fit nicely over the amg brakes of a w203.

Will i have the first w203 on 19" cls amg wheels?

I agree. I painted my stock wheels black to use them as a winter set. black car with black wheels is nice. even my summer wheels have matte black in them (18" Lorenzo L21). but it's ultimately up to you. ever since I put my winter wheels on ive had the urge to black out all my chrome trim.

I've been thinking about a gloss black powdercoat on the stock rims rather than matte. whatcha think?

If you black the wheels out like that I think you should keep the Mercedes sign on the center cap the color it is or a different color so its still noticeable. Other wise I think it would look great! Good luck.

I bought black carbon fiber center caps (3m cf not real) for like 32 bucks off eBay. I have some black cf vinyl on the interior too, but they had black too. that way the star is still chrome, and against all the black it really pops. I did the wheels in a gloss black and clear coat. it's not bad, but I'm gonna do matte black for next year. I like the matte black / gloss black contrast. not to mention matte black is much easier to paint, my gloss job was not perfect. if you want to give it a trial run do them in plasi dip. it will give you a matte black look and if you don't like it you can peel it off.

Yeah definitely keep the MB emblem standing out. I just put my stock wheels back on and am selling the others until I get a new set. I was planning on powder coating them black and purchasing a set of gloss black center caps with the chrome star. It gives it a nice little accent as opposed to just making it all black.

Hey guys. I know i'm new here, but I'm wondering which wheels I should put on my 2001 C320 in silver. I have seen two different wheels that caught
my eye for both the price, and looks. If you have any other suggestions, I was hoping to be around $1000-$1200 by the time I'm done.

I was looking at either of these (both are 18"): (neither are my pictures)

or these

In my opinion the best setup is:

Front: 225/40/18
Rear: 255/35/18

That's what I have on my 18s, same widths as yours.

How's the ride? I also just found another set of a different style for the same price... Which do you think looks better?
