do you want to look more flusher maybe add 5 - 10 mm spacer will be a great idea, if you feel the front wheels gap higher than the rear wheels you can cut 1/2 coil for the front spring, it will still comfortable & safe just be sure to paint the spring to prevent it from corrosion
- Front: 5x112, 17x7.5 et:30, 225/45/17
- Rear: 5x112, 17x8.5 et 30, 245/40/17
- What do you think? are those OEM specs correct?
- Will I still face front brake clearance issues? (current/OEM brake intrusion is about 50mm)
- New wheels center bore is 57.1, will that be fine? or do i need some sort of adapter-ring?
- Also what are the specs of recommended lug nuts? thread? will OEM ones be fine? (my previous car had to use conal ones)

i am not sure what the cost of the 19's are, but this may help you...when I was getting cost of 17's..the lowest qoute I got for the Brabus monobloque V were $2650....that was with Michelin Pilot A/S...225/45/17's. I think the 19's were in the neighborhood of about $3500..wheels alone.

wow $3500 is cheap compared to 19'' Schmidt,Carlines,Kerschers,RH Alurad or MAE $5200 without tires

Bump! noob could use the help guys
Thank you guys very much for the feedback. I'm not sure if this is true, but I've found in a link that my wheel (5 spoke sport wheels) and tire specs are:
- Front: 5x112, 17x7.5 et:30, 225/45/17
- Rear: 5x112, 17x8.5 et 30, 245/40/17

wheels will not fit since our hub is 66.6. you can get hub rings to increase you can go from larger to small with the adapter. or you can bore out the center bore to 66.6

Correct, shorter front coilover springs. Looking at ordering a set of coilovers and will try and find the H&R 245mm fronts since the front always sits too high on a regular setup. I really appreciate the info greekspec. I'll finally be able to install my Brombachers after a year of sitting in my room lol. Nice wheel specs too. Mine are just a bit more aggressive but i do have the ghostrider rear camber arms, ordering the mbarts rear toe arms and probably using mb camber bolts for the front if necessary.

am I understanding "profiles" correctly?
Id go 215/40/18 front and 225/40/18 rear or 225/40/18 and 235/40/18. I usually like to keep the same sidewall height on if it's below 245 in width. With your 205/45 and 215/ 40 it's going to make it look like you have too much tire in the front and unproportioned from side view. You want the rear to look beefier
phister, my understanding is that the profile is just a percentage of the tire width. That means that 225/40/18 and 205/45/18 on an 18x8.5" (or 216mm) wheel (as well as the stock 225/45/17 on a 17x7.5") will have identical tire diameters, only difference is stretch/poke. Same with both rear setups. None of them should look thiner than the other.
pww, you are running similar wheel widths with 20 and 26 effective offsets. What tire sizes did you use? I recall they were 225 and 255 but I don't recall the profiles.
I think the 205 & 215 might look too silly. If I'm understanding profiles correctly, then I'll probably stick to 225/40/18 and 245/35/18, that should give me a conservative stretch to go with my conservative offsets, and I'll just use 20 and 25 spacers to get 25 and 23 effective offsets. I'll also roll fenders as an extra measure. 245/40 @ rear would put my speedometer way off by 4% or so since it'll be 4% thicker than the OEM setup.

I personally would go with 225/40/18 & 235/40/18. That's what I previously had but I'm running 215/40/18 & 235/40/18 now. I don't care my speedometer is offoff because I use my Ark design gauge which lets me calibrate the size difference from the OEM so it reads correctly on the gauge.

Thanks phister. is the 2.5% after factoring for the fact that side wall wont be horizontal since the wheel width (8.5" = 216mm) is bigger than the 205 width? I might be miscalculating somewhere

Just stick with sizes you choose, going lower than 215 on a 18x8.5 is to much imho. That's when lips really get beat up.
