what are you guys putting on the car?

now how can it be hard to find a 255 tire for a 19" wheel

atm i cant remember who already has the wheels (to lazy to look it up now) but are you putting on 255 or 265?

Ok, 4 more 19x9.5 came in, so 2 more sets are ready to go. Who are the next two on the list? you guys can send the rest of the payment by CC or paypal (add 3%)

Hanke and KickR's next on the list I believe.

KickR/Alex please contact me if you want 8.5 all around still. If so the set will go to Razorfish instead.

is there any problem if i used 235/35/19 and 255/35/19 on my c240?

i meant there wasnt many choices. not that there was none. sorry i said it wrong.

but i was just wondering if those would be a problem for the w203 if i was planning to lower my car with tien basic coilovers as well

Like I said, if you are going to do 255/35/19 with Tein than you will be OK. The only one size in question is the 265 size which I believe you need fender rolling.

I thought the rears required 30 series tires instead of 35 in order to best match the OEM diameter and not throw off the speedometer and mileage.

rear tire size should be either 255/30/19 or 265/30/19

they say that for my car:
2001 c240
with stock 225/50/16

if i wanted to put these rims on they said i need the following size tires.
front: 215/35/19
rear: 235/35/19

can anyone help me confirm this so i can get my tires. i wasnt sure how they calculated this but they said that the
235/35/19

total BS

just think about it .. a 9.5" wheel is i think 24.x cm ... a 235 tire is only 23.5cm.

i guess the result one can figure out by himself

I'm not sure what B.S. you're shop is feeding you, but I have a friend with the same car you have (2001 C230 black/black) with ASA JH8's the same size FrankW is running his group buy on.
His tire sizes are
235/35/19F
265/30/19R
Those are also Tirerack.com suggested sizes for wheels.

My friend is a real stickler about rubbing and what not. He used to have a LS400 (that's how we became friends) that rubbed all the time. His car does not rub at all, even with passengers.
It might be though because he's running stock suspension.

Bossman, if you're mentioning HRE's or AMG's or authentic Brabus, why would you even be mentioning replicas? That's two different price ranges.

I'm with Ricky on this. The tire sizes you should get are:

235/35/19F
265/30/19R

Big O is fulla sh*t. I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to sell you those tires because that's what they have in stock.

dude, Big O is full of ****.

215!?!?! the stock fronts are 225! on the sport models, the rears are 245 in the front. why would you go smaller with a rims that are a larger diameters? don't listen to them.

where are you located at? get the tires from tirerack if you want and take them to one of their authorized places, I wouldn't trust that Big O.

I never mentioned anything about Brabus...and hey if replicas are available and its a deal, then I really care. Its called keeping my choices open to other ideas as well, not limiting any possible potentials. Yes 2 different price ranges because the're could be 2 different ways I could go...But Ill mention HRE's with the word replica in there as well, not a sin in my book :v

Sorry, when you said Monoblock V's, I automatically thought Brabus rims because I wasn't aware that AMG rims used the monoblock term. I thought that was solely a Brabus identification of rims.

No offense intended. I'm just saying, if you can afford real HRE's and AMG's, then there's no reason replicas should even be in your mind. Shouldn't go cheap when it comes to rims, especially if you can afford the real thing. And when I'm saying different price range, that's talking 2 G's at least or more. If you care about your car, go quality if you can afford it.

If you can't afford the real thing, it would probably be more understandable in my mind, but at the same time...IMO, it's not worth it to go cheap.

I think it will definitely look better if you do the size:
235/35/19 Front
265/30/19 Rear

Like the many discussions we had in this thread on the size, if anyone decides to Not lower their car than the above is great, if you will lower the car in the future and not do any fender rolling than:

235/35/19
255/30/19

I'm undecided like my previous posts mention but I'm still leaning on the 265 Rear because it offers more protection on the side wall for us NYC/NJ people and it will look better. Tein Basic will be my choice in the future if I decide to lower the car and than I will have to change the Rear to 255.

Don't worry about getting black lugs, just get these black covers that slip over silver lug bolts.
