I have found where it is rubbing it is a small potion of sheet metal where the plastic bumper meets metal. I can easily grind it down but I am worries about heat from grinding hurting my paint. Anyone done this? I figure if I go really slow it should be ok.

If it's just the metal tab that sticks out all you have to do is hammer that upwards.

Yeah that’s all it is I am just so worried about deforming the metal and causing a crease have others done that with no problems?

Just hammer it . If u afraid of doing it, go to panel beater and ask someone to do it.

I'm not sure if hammer will work, it might. I would STRONGLY recommend a rubber mallet along with a heat gun or blow dryer to give some flex on the paint.

goodluck

Good luck with the rubber mallet. I started with the mallet and gave up because it was doing nothing but bouncing. The hammer is what you need.

Dam, I feel bad for you. I guess your running 265 tires aren't you?
You'll definitely rub if you dropped your car with H&R springs unless you raise it up a bit by changing the spring pad or rolling the fenders. If you don't want to do any of the above than sell your 265 tires and get 255 tires.

You'll probably get the same answer from anyone else so you decide.

Yes...They are 265's. I think it's time for me to go to the bodyshop. I will post some pictures on the other thread I got going to see the options. I would hate having to order two nes tires (55's) so I'll probably go to a bodyshop an/or get thicker spring pads.

Thanks/Al

If you haven't already had your fenders rolled, then I suggest you have that done ASAP. Assuming the rubbing is coming from the outside and not the inside, this should solve the problem.

Definitely not the outside. I think it just grabs on to the lip of the inside.

Just wanna make sure you understand what I mean by "outside" and "inside". I'm talking about the outside and inside of the tire, not the fender. Rubbing on the "outside" would mean the outer side of the tire is rubbing the fender, whereas rubbing on the "inside" would mean the inner side of the tire is rubbing the shock, spring, perch, or something else.

as usual when running on the 265's and lowered suspension setup the rear tire will rub on the plastic tabs from the rear bumper molding sticking out inside the bumper and the one area of carpet that's sticking out at the rear.

all you need to do is shave the tabs and trim out the carpet. rolling the actual quarter panel/fender's not needed unless you are seeing the tire side walls are actually being cut from contact.

Thanks FrankW!!! I'll try shaving those tabs a bit.

BTW... Thanks for the wheels. They look awesome. All I have to do now is work on the rubbing and the car is almost where I want it to be.

Thanks Again/Al

Sorry about that.

I'm so frustrated trying to figure this one out is not funny!!! I really cant see any marks or shaving anywhere and that's why I was thinking that it could be the insede of the fender. I'll try what Frank said...I won't loose anything for trying. Someone else also mentioned this to me. If not, I guess I'll end up rolling those fenders!!!

Wish me luck....I'll need it!!!

Thanks for your advise/Al
