I thought about replica Brabus mono VI 19 multipiece because I didn't have enough budget for the real thing. But then I just decide to go for the cheaper real Carlsson 2/5 instead because of one reason:
Imagine at the parking lot, when people approach you because they are impressed with your name-brand, cool looking wheels, then after a close look they find out those are just replicas...
I'd rather have stock wheels than facing those kinda moments...
Just my opinion, no offense to anyone.

Got some 19 inch BRABUS 6 replicas!
I was excited to post pictures, should i lower? I have a 3 finger even gap all around. IM runnin 245/35 in the front and 275/30/19 in the rear. No rubbing at all. Yokohoma avs tires are great, but the treadware is like 180. They seem good tho!
What do u think? Check out my magnaflow muffler as well. It sounds really good not loud at all!

BRABUS monoblock V
Hi,
Newbie here
I have a C200K with sports package !
I just put a set of Brabus monoblock V on my car
18 x 8.5 ( 225 40 18 )in the front and 18 x 9.5 ( 255 35 18 )in the back
but when my car reaches the speed of 100 Km/hr the whole car and steering wheels shakes so bad its like an earth quake.
Does anyone know what's wrong with my car ??
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

MBWorld Fanatic!
Assuming your wheels are hubcentric and you are not using spacers, I would have them check the balance on the tires. Are the tires also new? I had a bad alignment when I lowered my ML (I didn't realign suspension after lowering) and the tires were "cupping" on the inside and now I have the same problem you described. I am glad my tires are old and need new ones anyways.

HELP! 18" BRABUS VI Replica or 17" AMG Style IV ???
I plan to get new rims this month... earlier the better...
But I can't choose from two options I have and I need ur expertise....
Please keep in mind that my wife will be driving my car quite often and my parents will drive once they visit me...
For spending pretty much same amount of money, I could get either....
1. AMG Style IV
- 17x7.5 front
- 17x8.5 rear
- 225/45R17 front
- 245/40R17 rear
- stock suspension
2. Moven M13 aka BRABUS Monoblock VI replica
- 18x7.5 front
- 18x8.5 rear
- 225/40R18 front
- 255/35R18 rear
- H&R Cup Kit
If I only could think about myself, I'd get either 17s or 18s and lower it... but I have to put my wife in the equation. Then I lean more toward option #1.
For all members out there w/ wives, ex-wives, girlfriends and/or ex-girlfriends driving your car every once in a while, what would you recommend?

well first off...i dont let my gf drive my car but then she would not want to...but thats besides the point...my dad drove my car fine..lowering the car does not make that much of a difference on the MBZ but then again i have eibach if you are concerned with her or your parent scraping the group (which i doubt) get eibach... my car lowered is still not as low as my friends STOCK BMW 330 CI with sports package.... just my 2 cents...and i dont scrap anywhere and the ride quality is fair

i suggest u just go wit the 18s and the cupkit... moven rims are very strong, prob stronger than authentic tuner name brand rims... my parents drive my car all the time, no way they're gonna bend 18s, i just always tell em to be careful wit street parking i.e. curb rashes and wat not... and the car should seldomly scrape, so it shouldn't be a problem wit 18s and a cupkit... i'd just go all out and get the 19s...

others wont know you have fake rims, but you do. If you are ok with that mentality, go for it! Thats why knockoffs do so well in America
I dont like how a tuner spends the money to design and create the wheel, then some factory rips off the design and profits from a tuners work.

I Like the AMG's reps too. And if they cost less and made of the same quality. I would buy those anyday. I laugh at those people who spend all that money on the name game to please a small percentage of the population . . who cares. It's like computers and most TV's. On the outside of the box/product company stamp thier name but in the inside they all look the same in fact most are assembled in the same place. I would not be surprised if authentic AMG/Brabus rims are made in the same factory as replicas.

I don't want to launch an another thread on original/replica rims but I'm quite sure that, in most of the case, there is a difference in the quality.
