Thanks drift...of course I'll whole heartedly disagree with the sentiments of others posted. I've had nothing but comments on mine w/o drop. Would it be nicer with a lil drop? no doubt. Does it look "bad", hell no. Spending money on aftermarket 17s is the biggest waste of $$

Sure, they are cheap. But how much for shipping? Maybe $250.00??? maybe more with tires on it. Make sure the offsets are right, you don't want to return those to HK.

One with 4 wheels
I hope you don't plan to race or do any form of spirited driving with those rims........I've heard horror stories of replicas being torn to shreds due to being made from crap materials.

Authentic rims are expensive for a reason. They're made from high quality materials and components that go beyond just "looking good".

Perhaps you should look around for some used authentic Brabus rims?

Just a suggestion.

$400-500 per set isn't cheap enough. They sell all day long on ebay for under $800 shipped. So all that work to make $100 isn't worth it, plus the syle with the rivets sells more.

TA-9FF - I've seen BBS rims fold like cheap suits too...sure they were stronger, but a huge pothole will take out a 18-20" BBS just as fast as a replica. I've had replicas for over 2 years with no problems due to quality of materials as you put it. And I track my car.

If they're made in Taiwan...okay. If they're made in China forget it.

simply not true. you would know if you have look "into" the industry. casting technology is all pretty much the same. other than replicas being that sometimes they manipulate the original design where quality control comes into issue. Most replica manufacturers out there go through the same stress test for their rims like the authentic brands, at least the manufacturers in Taiwan does. You indeed have to question if they do such test in China however.

authentic wheels have high retail mainly because the "brand" image. You would be surprised if I tell you how much the real cost for 1/16 UL from factory would cost where the retail is $10k.

back to topic, the mono VI in the picture looks to be real Brabus mono VI because you can see the raised Brabus mark on the lip between spokes.

Frank,

It is truly amazing how naive people are when it comes to cast wheels ? My friend use to drill wheels for Brabus and he use to hear the pop sounds of the air pockets formed by the "poured cast wheels" I have a set a of reps now (tu approved) that are "pressure cast" (no air pockets)which are stronger and lighter than Amg,Brabus etc. oh and 3 k less in price, the only wheels that are better are true forged wheels. So if your not buying a set of forged wheels than reps are the way to fly + you can change your wheels more often because they cost less than 1 k a set. As I laugh all the way to the Bank

very true, but at the same time brand name wheels are still very attractive because of the name and logo.

please note that its a ''fake'' brabus wheel, so i guess it doesnt look exactly like the real ones..but of course if i drive with those wheels, noone can identify whether they are real or fake..they will just like ""omg...the wheels are so hot... " ..except for those who are brabus experts =)

Okay, so you'll have to answer the "standard" questions that I always ask whenever a newbie posts a thread like this:

1) What is your budget?
2) What styles are you going for (i.e. 5 spoke rounded, 5 straight spoke, 5 split spoke, 6 spoke, 6 split spoke, 6 solid spoke, 7 spoke, 7 split spoke, multi spoke/mesh, etc, etc, etc...)?
3) Have you taken a look at the "aftermarket wheel" thread that's stickied at the top of the forum?
4) Have you looked at wheel websites at all (i.e. HRE, DPE, iForged, Volk, Rays, etc, etc, etc...)?

Okay, the main thing in order for you to get some constructive help that will lead you in the right direction, you have to tell people how much you want to spend.

If you are looking at the Zenetti's, I'm figuring you want to spend in the $1500-2000 range including tires. But that's just an assumption. I suggest that you post what your budget is (e.g. how much you're willing to spend) and also take a look at the "Aftermarket Wheels" thread that is stickied in the AFTERMARKET/OEM - MODIFICATIONS/DIY - FAQ's
