W203/CL203 Aftermarket Wheel Thread - All you want to know
Went to the Brabus store today in Irvine and they said they would not sell me anything since I had replicas on my car. I told the guy to lick my
and left the store. I would have spent a few thou there too. Now I am going to get a dozen brabus tags and put them on some really really old, falling apart, rusted, tire mismatching, broken window, smoke blowing cars. They just can't stand that someone else can make wheels look as good as theirs. I would have bought the originals if they priced them anywhere near reasonable like $3k.
So, did the Brabus people tell they were replicas from a distance or did they walk up to the car? Or did the center caps give it away?

cant believe you drove down to brabus with those.... thats like a chick walkin into LV with one of those fake multicolor bags. ofcourse they didnt wanna sell you anything, buying replicas harms their image and their business.

If you do please email me some photos of the wheels mounted on the car...I will PM you my email address.
I have only seen them in catalogues, unmounted and would like to see how it looks on a w203

The difference between replica and original is that with the replicas you have to watch out from bumps and pot holes because they will most likely damage your wheels and they might even crack your wheels too.
Replicas are almost always heavier....

Anyone here use the Brabus 2 piece block V 18" wheels, 8.5" fronts, 9.5" rears?

Finally got the car on 12/30/03. Here it is with 19" staggered (8.5 and 9.5) Ace Alloy Mono V replicas. Offset is 42 for the rear and 38 for the fronts. All four wheels have 6mm hub centric spacers from Ace. NO problems with clearing the front 04.5 calipers. Rear does not rub. No vibration using the hub centric spacers. Tires are Dunlop SP9000 (my favorite-had them on my 19" Breytons for my E46). Next MOD is to tint since this is a necessity in the desert.

Oh, and you can make those URL links into IMG links so the pictures load up in the actual post....
Thanks Tiff! I don't know how to make an "IMG" link. I should hit up Jim for a sig. Jim is "Brabus C", right?

Richard: I really need to clean the ML. I haven't washed it in over a month! Smart move to buy in Summerlin. Summerlin had the highest percentage in property value increase in '03 per our local paper. I wouldn't live anywhere else in Vegas......well maybe Seven Hills....
