Maui Wowie!

Taking a mini-break for a week with the wife over to Maui on the Hawaii Superferry and took the w203 with us on the voyage! I'll post up pics as we go along..here I am on me crew forums in the Hahalua Lounge (basically their first class lounge). That's my new Acer Aspire One micro laptop which I'm posting from right now:

It's nice out today..not much weather around the islands from what I can see from here. Typical small rain squalls around the mountains, but other than that looks nice. Hopefully Maui will be nice weather this week. I'll take a few pics of the beach house we're "renting" for the week too. My wife doesn't have her sea legs today..so I gave her some Dramamine and now she's knocked out...haha. Dramamine has the effect on some people. I don't get sea sick or motion sickness, but she does occasionally. I'll take a pic of the car beside the Superferry when we get to Maui, that is if I even can. I'm sure people would get pissed off to have to wait for me..haha. Maybe I can go off to the side and make it happen. It's a 3 hour ride from Oahu to Maui...yes, a 3 hour tour (que Gilligan's Island music).

Sounds fun! I'll be in Oahu from the 19th-24th later this month! My first time, I am sure it will be a blast.

Hahaha...nah, was busy today. We went scuba diving this morning. Here's a couple pics thus far:

There's the Superferry in the background. I snapped a pic as we were waiting to leave the docks:

We ate dinner at Fat Daddy's which is a killer BBQ place in Kihei. They served our Newcastle in the big thick glass goblets:

Our beach house in Makena is right on a private cove..great views:

More to come...

Damn...Looking at the food is making me hungry now.

Hmmm...anybody know a good bbq place near the Miracle Mile in LA (but not Farmer's Market, cuz it takes forever for me to drive there from my building)?

I'm currently sitting outside on our private upstairs lanai which is right off the master bedroom. Here's the view as of this very moment:

For lunch we at at Cafe Ole' which was recommended by our Dive Master. The food was awesome and SO under priced! It tasted far too good to be so cheap!! I had their crabcakes with mango chutney and the wife had Mahi Mahi in garlic lobster sauce..both were incredible...the whole meal including some draft Sam Adams and pineapple upside down cake was under $40...with 20% tip!!!!! Crazy!

Here's where we ate dinner last night. Peggy Sue's is an old school drive-in that still has classic car cruises every month at their restaurant and have old jukeboxes at the tables..very retro and cool:

Their burgers are made old school too and fries were awesome! They also serve real OG style fountain drinks:

We'll be going up to Haleakala tomorrow which is over 10,000ft above sea level. We're going up for the sunrise which actually is crazy since you're above the cloud layer..don't worry, I'll take pics!! We plan to do some 800ft parasailing too. Should be fun!
