Life Span
I have done 30k in my first year of C Class driving and loved every minute of it.
How many miles can I expect out of the W203 model in its life? I have heard of some doing 200k mileage. But I can't find too many threads here about high mileage cars.
The reason I ask is I am in two minds to buy an older C Class for my daily drive and keep the numbers down?
Or Just drive it until its well into the hundreds and pass it onto a grandchild in 15 years time?
Anybody here done 200 000+ miles on a W203? Will they get me there?

Do a search for a member named Scottisha. He is quickly climbing up to the 200K mark on his W203. I plan on driving my well past 200K as well if all goes well. I am at 33K now after just under 1.5 years.

167k here. Doing well. Upcoming maintenance is to clean out the injectors, possible cat replacement.
Car is giving a code about the cat, but I just passed smog.

Just mentioned Scottisha, as at the rate he is going he'll be the 1st to 200K+. He also has the newest high mileage W203 that I know of. Plus, you are one of those DIY guys like me, and I think our cars have an unfair advantage on lifespan since we take care of them ourselves.

About to hit 80k... no main issues with the motor or anything so far.. Im just in love with the car.. Can't wait for rims

As reported in another thread I travelled in a 2003 C240 in Kuala Lumpur doing taxi (cab) service from the airport to hotels in town with 700,000 Kms on the clock. No major repairs, Lots of tyres & brake pads - still ran very well- correctly serviced by Cycle & Carriage KL - MB dealers
