thx for the reply. that's where i'm getting mixed up in my head. i saved the
photos (4, 5, 6, 7) of your new headlights and no matter how I tried to view,
i'm still seeing reflector design and not projector. can you confirm that either
the larger, outside headlight beam, or the smaller, inside beam is really projector?
maybe i need new glasses.

You may save the file and enlarge it to see the projector lenz. The side wall is reflector, whereas the centre core is Projector. All are made by glasses.

English may not be my first language, but i do know the difference btwn Projector and Non-Projector...
Aside to Raymond, here is the closer look of the fog light. Hope it helps!

Interesting to see your PARKTRONIC (PTS) only has 2 sensors per front bumper strip. The standard is 3 sensors per bumper strip.
At least that's what both of my C-Classes (W203) have.
Is that an aftermarket PTS ? because I've never seen only 2 sensors per bumper strip before.

Fwwong, from your previous most your stating you have projector head lights. Which is not the case and raymond was confused. If your speaking of projector fog lights then those are different.
You were talking about projector head lights and your linking me to projector fogs, which is confusing.
Unless your stating you want to buy projector head lights in the future and put in a hid kit. The way you quoted raymond it made it sound like you already them.
This Projector head lights have been around in eBay for quite some time. I browsed through the web site and saw it. The seller is very responsive and helpful. There are some cheaper ones, below USD80. But, quality is not as good as this. I was skeptical at the beginning with the Taiwanese products. However, this projector headlight focus well and bright!
Yes, it was a 9006 bulb type. So, you just need to fit it with similar HID bulb+ballast and it should work, brighter and last longer than standard halogen bulb.
For the look itself, it makes the car look different. Would be better if they add ANGEL EYES on it! Hahaha... But, too much of rewire work needed.
This projector headlight is plug and play.

Raymond,
My apologies for the confusion. Yes, the head lights are halogen type and no-Projector. I convert it to HID xenon.
Below is the seller in eBay:

Now i've got you. Sorry, i have been overlooked at your message. You are right. Those headlights are Halogen type and not Projector. Only the fog lights are.
Thanks buddy!

Bro, already got one set of BBS rim at home standby. My current tyre tracks are pretty new. So, i just thought of finishing it first before putting the BBS rims up.
I know it is going to take awhile to do so... sigh....

Your car looks great! I'm in the same position. Want to put on new rims but my Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2s are only 35% worn!

lol, now i'm no longer confused by all the headlight descriptions, thx.
traditional wisdom says that the focal point for the halogen bulb differs from
that of the HID's bulb when inserted into the headlight unit. so what usually
occurs is some degree of uncontrollable glare which could cause a bit of angst
to opposing drivers.
if you have a moment, could you post photos of the lighting pattern? a shot
of the beam in front of the car, as well as against a wall would be great.
the crystal clear look sure has upgraded the look of the car though. great
choice!

Yes - Summer tyres. The Michelins are absolutely magic & quiet. My car came new with Continental Sport Contact 2s - absolute rubbish and noisy.

the pics look good. Fog lights are designed more for supplmental light during bad weather, hence why yellow halogens work best. if you put hids in there, your probably notice your fogs will outshine your low beams, it might be kind of distracting.

Both of my (head light and fog lights) HID colours are 4,300K temp. So, it is good enough for bad rainny day (day or night).
Anything above this colour temp (i.e. 6,000K onwards) would not be suitable for bad weather.

How much does it cost one Michelin (same profile as yours) in your region? What tyre size you use?

Car came with 205/55/16 but 225/50/16 was always option new in Europe so I fit them - better.
I work for Caltex for 37 years! Will look you up if I come to Malaysia. You, Gan & me go out on town - hahaha! - there is now little Gan so Gan's wife must stay at home!!!! - You must look me up if you come to Cape Town.

You are right. But, in Malaysia, only two different weather: Sunny and Rainny day. No 4 seasons. I hardly drive up to the mountain roads.

A lot of people on this forum seem to mess with lights. Now - I can see why they might find their modifications aesthetically pleasing and thats fine but not my question. My question is - do you think that one can make really useful & meaningful improvements to the standard Bi Xenon set up and if so what?
