C240 - 6 speed
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Will 225/45/16s fit on a C240 sedan that came with 205/55/16s without rubbing?
I have some Yoko A520s (new) lying in my garage gathering dust in that size.

Be aware before you mount them that your speedo and odometer will be off because you are mounting a smaller tire on your vehicle. Factory wheel/tire diameter is 24.9". What you are wanting to put on has a diameter of 24". The other side effect you will notice is that the fender to tire gap, both front and rear, will be even more pronounced with those smaller tires.

Thanks for the quick reply, if I am right, the speedo will be off around 3% or 2.1 miles at 75 mph. I think I can live with that, but the additional miles recorded on the odometer may be an issue.
I guess I may end up selling the tires that I have and getting the 225/50/16s.

I have 225/50/16 on my coupe. From what i could find there isnt any speedo error in those. I would get some 225/50's if i were you.

Triple digit speed at public roads is **hardly** safe.
