2004 C230 SS speakers blown...best replacement?
I managed to finally blow out my rear speakers in my 2004 C230 SS? What is the best replacement speaker? I have the command head unit and do not want to upgrade the head/amp. Thx

Remedy - take it easy with the loud pedal or install a more powerful amplifier with decent power supplies. I recommend you take it easy with the volume.
Powerful amplifiers don't blow speakers in general unless you abuse things. Underpowered amplifiers blow speakers.

Please remember that wimpy amplifiers blow speakers - i.e. they have power supplies that can't keep up causing them to clip - generate square waves & blow speakers. So unless you take it easy with the volume you will blow more speakers.

Sorry - I did not answer your question fully - I'm not a car audio person - Anything I post is going to cause derision in the camp. Car Audio has become a fashion statement & along with that is a lot of Hype & BS.
In the reasonable price range Polk is a good bet - At least Matthew Polk tries with real home audio. - You probably can't go far wrong with anything out of the Dr Sydney Harmon empire such as Infinity.
