man.. thats great news. I don't have the HK system either so i'm hoping my factory stereo is similar to yours. I also heard from 3 different shops that it takes a ton of work to just swap out the HU. That's the reason why I asked about speakers & factory amp. I was also told, to change the OEM HU, i'd have to change my speakers, factory amp, and rewire the whole dang car for the new speakers. and $125??? that's GREAT! I was quoted $400 for labor only. Those P#nk$!!!

Damn Brakes...
I finally got around to getting my rotors and pads installed. I think i said before that the EBC front rotors are not as advertised. Website said dimpled/slotted but arrived cross drilled. I talked to the EBC rep and he told me they dont make slotted/dimpled for the w203's with sport kit and he would gladly refund my money. Well i didnt want to go through the hassle so i said Fack it and just used what i had.
I got to the shop and they threw on the front rotors open up my front hawk ceramic pads and you guessed it, they were the wrong ones!!! part number was correct???? So yeah the only thing i could do was run to autozone and pick up the semi metallic duralasts. ll keep in there for now. Threw on the rear rotors and luckily the Akebono ceramics were correct.
Ill write a review in a couple weeks or so

When i was getting my brakes done, i was planning on rotating tires from left to right. Found out the rears were too bald to do it. After we did the fronts we noticed there was a pretty big bubble in one of the front tires. The shop threw on a tire they had sitting around for now. I got home and noticed a small bubble in the other front tire. wtf!!!
I ordered Toyo Proxes T1R 235/35 front and 275/30 rear... i hope these things fit. Ill have them installed saturday morning...

275's gonna rub like hell Roland. and you should pick up Lensolo's camber arm.
remember to bed-in your brakes 60mph-10mph gradual braking 10times in a roll, don't let it completely stop before each time or the pads will burn/glaze onto the rotor. after ten times, let it cool down (drive around for 10min should cool it down to normal temp). and then do the whole thing again and you are set.

+1 frankW for bed-in info
I don't know when I'll do brakes as a mod, but this is nice to know.
It'll be tough to find a good place to go 60-10mph Ten Times in a Row. Then repeating that without completely stopping in between.

Lol.
Wow.
+1 again frank
Why?
You just made me think of the place I got my exhaust done.
It's an industrial area, and it's a fairly long stretch of road towards farm land.
(I'm in Davis, so there're plenty of farms around, hahahah)
Haha. You're good.

Thanks Frank, i tried to do this as best as i could when i left the shop, but it was kinda busy out, but i got pretty close to it... Brakes seem to be stopping fine..
Im hoping the 275's wont be too bad, i don't mind if i have to do some fender rolling, If it looks like it will be too much work, then ill trade them for the 265's

i'm sure someone makes drilled rotors for you. If i had to do it all over again, i think i would just got with R1concepts. It would've saved me a whole lot of time and money... I say this because there are not a lot of options for the 05 c230. Bad advertising and shops not knowing anything about our brakes waste a lot of that time and money... i talked to an EBC rep, a Brembo rep and a few retailers that didn't know ****... oh well. at least i know whats out there now...

good to hear Rollnn...though a shame that the hawks didnt fit?! did you order another set? I really need metallic so I can nip this dusting in the butt! It destroys the look of my rims up front and is really pissing me off that i go to wash my car and by the time i get home they're dirty again...

thank you svir!
yeah, i was really wanting to use the hawk ceramics. I didn't order another set, i figure i would just use the semi metallic for now. So far the dusting is pretty good, no dust in a week now. There is actually more dust from my akebono ceramics in the first week. But could be dust due to new rotors/pads so ill wash the car and see how it goes from there...

HB504Z.740 this is the part number for the Hawk Ceramics that i ordered. It says it fits the 05-07 C230 with sport kit, but they were totally wrong. I have a feeling that they were boxed wrong, cuz when i got the package the box was all taped up...

Had my new tires installed today...
Toyo Proxes T1R
front: 235/35
Rear: 275/30
Front rubs the wheel well inner lining, when the wheels are turned sharp at slow speeds.
These are better than i thought, they don't rub nearly as much as i expected and i havent done any fender work since installing. They rub inner lining on big dips on the freeway. I gotta do some trimming and it should be fine.. but I gotta say, i'm glad i got the 275's instead of 265's..
