Just Rollnnn.... evolution of another W203..

I'm gonna have Serge at Hyevon Motors/HMS install it, but it wont be for a month or so, i don't have any time to do it til then. Ill be doing the powerchip tune afterwards, maybe a few weeks after, just so i can tell if there is a difference with and without it..
BTW, do not get that Renntech pulley kit...i know you and that other dood had a huge spat about us "m271 engine owners being cheap"...lol freakin 3 pages of that sh*t i had to read to finish the enitre post.

lol
reason being if u get that the pulley kit, it slows the belt down cause of the larger pulley. our super charger works on overdrive, aka a spins faster. So to make the SC more effective, we want to use a smaller pulley to make it spin even faster. In effect, if u put that larger crankshaft pulley and the smaller SC pulley, ur net gains will be 0 (well not exactly, but they both will be negating each others gains)
im no mechanic either...so hopefully it makes somewhat sense...

we've all known that. thanks for pointing out the obvious

several members have the renntech pulley and they have achieved gains. the only issue is that with a stock ECU, the gains on the higher end are somewhat capped b/c the car goes lean. if you have the renntech pulley, the best way to maximize it is with an ECU tune. there's a reason why the kleemann pulley kit comes with a "K-Box" that somewhat acts as a ECU tune.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

and that's the exact one i got, its the Renntech pulley kit.. I guess we'll see in about a month or so..

Seriously finding an installer was a pain in the ***. I went to 5 different shops and none of them really knew anything about my car. I went to a few of what i thought were high end shops that work on MB's all the time. Nobody knew if i had an external amp, and if i did if i could use it or not, and id have to run new wires to all speakers, some thought i might have to get a new amp, or might need new speakers because the stock ones might be 2 ohm.... i really thought i could find someone who knew this car in and out and could just do the install without any problems...
Brandon(OCKlasse) told me about Gold Star Audio in Irvine, they were the first shop i talked to who seemed confident enough for the install and have done it many times.
When i got there, Jay told me the install was straight up, just need the wiring harness, the antenna adapter and the scosche dash kit... It took about an hour and it was done...
All the other shops made it seem like it was going to be way harder than it was.... Al & Eds on Santa Monica and La Cienega told me it would take 4 hours and they charge $250 an hour?? wtf!! $1000 to install???
One thing that gold star told me was, as of now there is no way to hook up the steering controls on my car. They said there are no kits YET? anyone know if this is true?? i really want to use the steering controls...

hahah, that's hilarious!
