Meguiar's is leggit
I used some like polish and wax over the weekend, and even on a white car the paint looks like a mirror.
I want someone to wax the back of their black car, so that I can get a photo of my car in the reflection....that would be dope

Great job E
Meguiar's does make great products at a great price. NXT 2.0 is hard to beat for the price. It has decent protection, a great shine, super easy to apply, and is fairly inexpensive. It is a ***** to get off rubber trim though.
I will echo Ohlord's comments on Menzerna products. They are expensive as hell, but worth it IMO. There is no better polish for the newer MB Ceramiclear than Menzerna SIP and FF106.

Maybe at our next GTG we should compare some of the Mezerna stuff and the Meguairs.
I was thinking of putting up my old Zaino stuff up for sale.

here's a testimony to meguiar's...
this is just meguiar's cleaner wax (I decided to use cleaner wax just to try to get a quick polish/wax in).
![](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3103/2530682640_9bf32b8bca_o.jpg)
a couple weeks ago, I did the machine polish on the doors and full NXT, but I didn't take any pics and now it's flithy...![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I'll be detailing the C230 soon with it too. I've done the hood and trunk, but I need to finish up the rest.

Someone
by their comments has never show detailed a car.Dawn ,before clay removes all the old wax down to the clear coat.If you have a dark car with issues such as spider webbing swirls scratches in the clear coat, menzerna intensive and the proper pad on a rotary at 1000 rpm after claying will clear them up.Then you move on to the finer grade final polish then a finishing touch glaze coat, fmj to seal and 2 coats of high grade carnauba to finish.2 coats will build up give extra protection and depth to the shine provided by the polish. An example
of a severely abused old MB. http://www.properautocare.com/mebeafph.html
and a few others http://www.properautocare.com/mecuco.html
don't use a rotary without practice or if you do ,tape off mirrors and edges and stay at or below 1000 rpm and keep moving. If you can't trust yourself to do that get a porter cable orbital.

And no I'm not a part of the company
I've used the products for years on my own show cars ,race cars and daily drivers. So just a fan,use what makes you happy

meguiar's gold class is nice stuff also- maybe a slightly better shine than nxt, but it doesn't last near as long as the nxt does.
zaino might be a supierior product- but the combination of ease of use, end results, and cost of meguiar's is hard to beat. superior makes pretty good stuff for a descent price also. it's the only brand of wax that i actually like the liquid. for the most part, i am a paste wax kinda guy.
discussing different brands of car cleaning goods with a car nut is kinda like heading into the OT section of the forum and discussing why you think Obama should win the election
you can go on and on forever and no one will ever agree that there is one end-all winner.

I'll have to try that next time. I have #21 Mirror Glaze, but I wanted to insure a lasting paint protection.
I think I'll ask on the forum if I could get a deeper shine with it.
Splinter...Yep, she took me to Flemings on Saturday. I provided the $99 coupon. Two Filets, two Lobster Tails, two Sides, and dessert.
Yum!

Nice car, looks pretty good. My only problem with Meguiars is that it seems to wear off faster than all the other waxes (haven't tried NXT specifically). Zymol doesn't seem to last very long neither.
I'm going to give Einszett 1-Z a try. It's synthetic-based, which means that shine isn't as extensive as the natural caranuba wax in Zymol, but supposedly it lasts twice as long.

also, why'd you choose #21 Mirror Glaze? isn't M21 more of a sealant? I've been using Speed Glaze (like we were taught at the class) and haven't had the same results...
and for anyone that's looking for a good deal, amazon sells most of the Meguiar's products at a pretty discounted price... it's even cheaper than buying it from Meguiar's directly.

I go here for a look at some deals:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2
The deal at Flemings may only be good till Sept 30th. I don't know. Flemings link is:

I think even Morton's has a deal right now.

i like meguiars,
and from that class we took, meguiars seem like good honest people. sure their stuff is less expensive compared to other brands, but it works well for what i need. if i had a really $$ car, i would use $$ products, but meguiars is affordable and easy to use, perfect for a DD car like mine.
