Fletcher Jones Newport Beach uses Valvoline?
I saw this on the Fletcher Jones Newport Beach website, seems like they use Valvoline motor oil.
Has someone serviced their vehicle at this Newport Beach dealership recently and noticed on their work order it says Valvoline motor oil was used in the Parts section?
I'm sure that Valvoline is a good motor oil, but personally I would prefer Mobil 1.
And lastly, I'm not going to get my oil changed every 5,000 miles, it's supposed to be 10 to 13 thousand miles.
Lubrication Service (except V-12) Recommended every 5,000 miles. Service includes draining engine crankcase and refilling with premium Valvoline Syn-Power Synthetic oil. Replace engine oil filter. Visual brake inspection. Check and replenish all fluid levels. Check belts and hoses. Check interior and exterior lights. Perform recommended Fletcher Jones Motorcars 32-point inspection. Road test.

Valvoline was the first oil brand i the world. Over 100yrs of experience. I trust them. Why do you want mobil1? B/c Mercedes said so?
5k oil change is better than 10-13k. That's just Mercedes telling you it's ok. I'm sure it is, but it's better to do it at 5k, less chance of crap sitting in your engine.
Newport Beach uses Mobil 1 in a 5W-40 format (instead of the typical Mercedes-recommended 0W-40). Intervals are recommended at 10,000 to 13,000 miles, but personally I still do mine early.
