Personally I'm not impressed. For 90K you get 270HP vs. 349 in the C32, you get Brubas leather vs. MB leather (you've seen one dead cow hide in your car you've seen them all), you get fancy 19" wheels, the car is lowered ( or you can get H&R for $259), you get Brabus labeled Brembos vs. AMG labeled Brembos, you get a 'B' instead of the hood ornament, you get a Brabus exhaust instead of the AMG exhaust and you get stylish front & rear bumpers. Personally I would take the C32 anyday and put some nicer wheels and lower it and have enough left over for a C-Coupe to use as a spare to leave at the airport when you travel. On the other hand I don't have to worry about deciding on a 90K car since I don't have 90K to spend on a car.

W203 C-Class
90K is way too much IMHO. I originally thought this was the Brabus CV8 with the 5.8 or 6.1 litre V8 engine in it, but the stroked out 3.8 litre engine just doesn't worth that much.

I would be quite interested to see how long it takes the dealership to sell that car...and then to see who purchased it... coz thats a bit exorbitant at 90K for a C.....
but oh well..if there are people to put 2by2.net on their CL's.. i'm sure someone will buy this car
:p :p :p

I'm going to be spending 90K on a car and it's going to have the name SL500 on the back of it. Brbaus is great, but as was said before, you can pick up a C32 which will outperform it and still have enough money left over for a C Coupe. One thing you do miss is the DVD player, but I don't if that's worth another 40 grand.

looks hot!
Just a bit too much money... I wonder how they justify selling 80 ponies less for 40k more. Im not lovin that exhaust much either. I much rather the look of the exhaust on the AMG model. But as mentioned, someone will buy it for whatever reason. They are all one offs and perhaps they may not depreciate as quickly.

I asked the Brabus sales person that was driving the car about how they installed the DVD player...but he would only tell me that they have a "guy" come in and do it. Sounded like he wanted to make commission if I wanted "there" guy to do a install. I can't imagine how much they would charge??

90K for a Brabus c-class seem alot of $$$$ for me...and like previously noted, not even the V8 option. I would go for the C32 or E55 and still get another car on top of that. But, it is a nice looking car.....very low key, simple.

This install was a HUGE pain in the ***. Did you ever play "Operation"? This was like it. The bolts, washers, and locking nuts that they give you (without any instructions, to let you know) are teeny! It was very, very frustrating.
In the end, I got the parking brake, brake, and clutch pedals on. I was a little paranoid about drilling into them, but I got them all on after a while. Interesting thing: did you know that the entire clutch pedal assembly (that is, clutch pedal and arm coming down to pedal) is plastic? I thought that was really weird, and kind of cheap.
Anyway, I went to take the gas pedal off. It was weird - the rubber on the pad went entirely around the pedal, and the pedal is part of a closed loop. I couldn't figure out how to easily unhinge the pedal assembly, so I had to end up cutting through the rubber on the cover to do it.
Then I looked at the Brabus pedal, and it's a little wider than the pedal that it gets attached to. The holes for the screws are right on the edge of the backing pedal. So, I didn't install it - want to call Brabus, and make sure that I'm doing it correctly - this pedal is plastic as well, and if I install it incorrectly, the whole damn thing could easily crack, and that would be a bad thing.
Sorry about the length of this message, but I do have a question: has anyone installed the Brabus pedals on their cars? If so, please post how the gas pedal install went for you. TIA, and I'll have pics up when the gas pedal is up and running.

But, the parking brake cover is really cute, especially since it's so small.
Can you believe the no instructions thing? I was appalled! I'm going to start to just look at typical tuner shop dead pedals, and see if there are any that are a little smaller than usual, and somewhat classy.

good luck w/ brabus! trying to get any info from them on the c230k is like trying... to do something... um, really difficult... well, you know. (can't think of a decent metaphor
)
i'm getting the evolution mats... in charcoal as i got light grey mats from the dealer. the dead pedal flap is good enough for me.

I was about to get the Brabus pedals + door pins + shift knob last week. Only I was too busy to place that call. Now after reading yr posts.....I am wondering.....shall I or shall I not?!
Or maybe I should spend $50 and have someone install for me?!

I'm going to try to put on the gas pedal tomorrow at lunch time. I drove over to the shop that sold me the pedals, and we both agreed that there's enough space to mount them, though it is a little close. The screws are self-tapping, so they should go right in. The problem with the pedals is that, if you don't do them correctly, you're not generally going to get a second chance. Especially with the plastic gas and clutch pedals.
One funny thing: I was having a b1tch of a time with the interior parking brake bolt (only two on it), until I remembered that I can release it, and it'll come up enough to make the install easier. As Homer would say, DOH!
You should be able to do this stuff yourself, as long as you have enough patience and time. I'll post how well the gas pedal goes in tomorrow. If you're afraid of *******g them up, getting the pedals put on shouldn't cost you much.
I've got the pins on order as well, and a Renntech knob is incoming from the Fatherland. Both of these are really simple, and you would definitely be wasting money to have them installed by someone else. The Brabus shift knob is really nice, though a little expensive. Have you thought about the steering wheel? It's $850, which isn't that much, and is a little smaller than stock, but the rim is much fatter - I'm thinking about it. Too much stuff, and too little money.

Which steering wheel are you referring to? I think my current steering wheel is by AMG (but it doesnt have the AMG word engraved on it). I am a bit confused whether there is another "fatter" AMG steering wheel available or the one that you are talking about is the one I have on my car right now!? I was thinking of getting the two-tone steering wheel, but if everything remains the same, i.e. grip and diameter, I dont think its worth it to change it just for the sake of the two-tone. I really like the E55 steering wheel, dont know if it can be fitted on a C32!??
As for the pedals, I think I'll wait for yr outcome first.

Found: BRABUS V8 Coupe!
The new BRABUS 6.1 V8 increased-displacement engine with 426 hp / 313 kW in the small body of the Mercedes C-Class Sports Coupe: BRABUS is proud that the new 301 km/h BRABUS C V8 Sports Coupe makes its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA 2001. The acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h also elevates it to a unique position among compact cars. In light of this enormous performance potential, suspension, brakes and aerodynamics were modified accordingly:

2000 BMW Z3 2.3 Roadster (hardtop current ly attached)
that thing needs the new SL55 powerplant... stroked to 6.1L....
no, really, I think that the 3.2kompressor is the best engine for the c-coupe, the V8 will just be impossible to get the power down, nearly impossible to keep traction under power. the C32 engine is a much better fit... perfect competition for the M Coupe from Munich?

A local TV station here in Brisbane (Bris 31) picks up a German auto show (DW World's Auto Moto und Sport) and had a 5 min article on the CV8.
In a word ..... AWSOME ..... the sound was amazing .....
Still had standard ESP so traction was no problem. Without the strips vents cut in the hood, you wouldn't pick it (remove tell-tale V8 badges of course) untill the lights went green.....Yeha......
Also there is a British mag called Mercedes Enthusist (only just out, ISSN 1474-7030) that has a feature on the C220 CDi coupe and the CV8 in it, Issue 3, January 2002.

Finally got around to installing the gas pedal. It was much easier than I thought it would be. Ignore the dirt, please! Here ya go:
For a little over $200 with tax, they were alot, but I like them alot more than the standard C7 pedals, especially when you realize that the C7s just slip off, which was disappointing. Door pins coming, then I should be done all of the overpriced Brabus crap until I finally take the plunge on the steering wheel, whenever that will be.

while quite nice looking, i am not sure whether two hundred bucks justifies the difference. Seems REALLY costly just for pedals.
