Looks like you need a rivet gun. By the looks of it, you have to line the badge up and only use the 2 or 3 holes that line up with the holes already in the trunk. This is one of those eBay ones right?

Sorry, I mis-read your post...but to me, that looks like a trunk badge because they add a few holes so that you can adjust it to the holes already in the body from your old MB 3 point star. The hood badge does not have any holes similar to these.
