I like this idea as well. I just want to paint the grill the same color as my car, the price should reduce significantly.

I'm sure a good body shop could come up with a decent solution. It's just unfortunate that you spend that much for a grille and still have to mod it to make it right.

if you could figure out a way to cover up the holes and make just one out of plastic or fiberglass and paint it to the car's color at a significantly cheaper price, I'd definitely be interested.

For non carbon fiber grill, Iam asking for USD$299.00+USD$30.00 for the paint job.
same shipping cost as above..

dont worry about the holes. I will figure it myself..no holes no holes..

I'd feel much better having my own body shop do the paint work. That way they could actually match it with little to no shade variance. Let's see what you come up with for covering those holes...

I may have a solution for the hole gap problem.. Not sure how the fitment would be, but it might be worth a try.. Check out the diagram below. It shows the components for a MB w203 Euro grill. Part #10 in the diagram is a chrome strip that goes over the smaller euro grill pictured. It looks like it might fit and could probably be painted, besides its a factory part.

Here is the MB part number for #10 in the diagram: A203 880 02 83 : panelling, top

I was considering getting a euro grill, but this might be a cool option..

i think it would have been better if you were able to make the first bar that goes across the top at the very top of the grill. i mean so that there is no gap from the hood to the grill.

Can you post a some pics of your front hood emblem and rear trunk emblem?
