eBay silver/chrome AC vent frames?

Clicky here for the auction.

Anybody have experience with these? I'd imagine they're somewhat crappy quality (being from a random eBay seller and all), but I'd imagine they might look a hell of a lot better than the stock vent trim...

$62 seems pretty steep for a few plastic pieces that might just start shedding paint in two months, but they're tempting.

I think they look like cheap chintzy crap. Why would you possibly want chrome finish on a Benz dash?

Meh, they're not all chrome - if you look closer, it's mostly rough/matte silver and curvy bits of chrome... Anything to detract from the hideous checkerboard fake CF trim that came with my car

i love the textured aluminum in the early W203/CL203.

much better than the 2004+ textured pattern that changed subtley.

Those covers would look ridiculous. Probably why they don't show you pictures of what it looks like installed. If I were you I'd swap out your trim if you don't like it. You can't fix ugly with more ugly.

If you don't like the aluminium, I do. Then buy stock grey or black OEM surrounds. That chrome crap is what you would find at Yellow Hat or Autobacs in Japan but it would be better made. Or even better - how about fake wood!!
