anyone here with over 100,00 miles on the C-class.
reason i'm asking is because i will be keeping my car. i have extended warranty up to 100,000. mercury keeps calling me offering me more extended warranty up to 200,000 miles for 2500. is it worth getting. i'm already at 80,000 miles into my car. ive done all the campaigns on the vehicle such as the vent hose. brought it in for a couple vac hose problems. i also brought it in to replace the belts and tensioners because making some wierd noise during start up and during idle. and alternator was also replaced. its been running fine ever since. today i finally brought it in to replace my rear sunshade and sunroof. i also told the sa to find anything else that needs replacing. all this is covered by warranty. well all i'm asking if any of u guys experience any other problems with ur c class other than what i have mentioned above. i have an 05 c230. i heard alot of problems with the 02 to 04 and everything was fixed in the 05 version. has anybody experience tranny failures. i really dont want to come across that. i just dont know if its worth spending another 2500 on additional 100000 mile warranty. i still owe $20000 on the car. advise please. i'm knocking on wwod and crossing my fingers with this car. i love it too. runs great. looks great. great on gas.

My 03 has been running fine since the day I drove her off the lot years ago (*knock on wood*) but that's because I take care of all my cars and maintain them. I have 61K miles on the clock..... so I have a long ways to go, but plenty of members here have crossed the 100K threshhold without issues. Just be proactive with the car maintenance and stay on top of it.
Prime example:
Do a search and check out the valeo radiator issue.... it will take you 10 mins to figure out if you need to do a glycol test.
Also: Get yourself an OBD scanner. Think of it as an investment.... lol.
Finally, just curious, how the heck do you still owe 20K on an 05? :eek
I've got 106k on mine and had extended warrany up to 100,000 miles. I've sure put that to good use but never extended beyond that. Just changing the oil every 5,000 miles now since it's got a lot of miles on it. Mine is an 03.

same here. i'm definitely putting this warranty into good use. i got 20,000 left before it expires. its at the delears right now. i told em them to do whatever they have to do. even if its not broke. take care of my car as if it was theirs.
