Personally I like having the star.
People often are confused what kind of car it is.
Not to be snooty, but it certainly doesn't hurt
to let people know it's a benz.
I like the stock grill painted satin black, leave the star and top and bottom trim sections chrome. Total cost, 15 bucks.

05+ Coupe Grill Retrofit - Part #? Uses Parts from Old Grill?
Was involved in an accident and am looking to upgrade my 03 grill to the 05 perforated look.
Anyone know the part #?
Saprissa listed it as A 203 880 12 83 in this 2004 post but I couldn't find that part # on the florida trademotion website.
Also, will the upgraded grill use some of the existing components from the old grill?
Lastly, do I need any other parts for this retrofit of the newer grill?
Thanks much.

c230 Kompressor Coupe
The 05 grill will not fit perfectly into the prefacelifted bumper. There are three stubs on the bottom of the grill in which you're gonna need to cut off. I just used a mini hacksaw to cut mine off. The bottom portion of the grill in the new grill doesn't have a place for a screw to hold it, just be aware of that, so the only support you'll have for it is on the sides and the top.

Go to Ebay,
find a 2005 coupe, get the VIN, use that in the EPC to look up pn's.
Then go to the trademotion site, leave out the "A".
